'1/ Fy Second Reading ~7~J?)I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, ESTAB- LISHING FEES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PE~1ITS WITHIN THE CITY OF OCOEE; ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE ISSU- ANCE OF ELECTRICAL PERMITS; ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF MECHANICAL PERMITS; ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PLUMBING PERMITS; ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SPRINKLER SYSTEM PERMITS; PROVIDING FOR THE RESCISION OF PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED PERMIT FEES; PRO- VIDING FOR THE RESCISION OF ANY ORDINANCES, OR PARTS THEREOF, PREVIOUSLY ENACTED THAT ARE IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND, PRO- VIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. . BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA; SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Ocoee, Florida, is hereby amended and shall read as follows: Building Permits Fees: a. On all buildings, structures or alterations requlrlng a building permit, the fee shall be paid as required at the time of filing application. The building officials shall determine the valuation of the building, alter- ations or structure. The building official shall base his valuation of the building as follows: PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE Type of Permit 1. Residential a. Single Family: 1. Coventional construction 2. Modular construction 3. Factory Built 4. Mobile Home 5. Additions to (1-4) above. b. Multifamily: 1. Single Story apartments (duplexes, triplexes, etc.) 2. Multistory apartment~ 3. Additions to (1-2) above. 2. Commercial: ~ l. Single/multiple story offices 2. Single/multiple story stores 3. Additions to (1-2) above. 3. Industrial/Manufacturing: (Warehouses, packing plants, assembly building, processing buildings, etc., and additions thereto.) 4. Alterations, repairs exceeding an estimated cost of $100.00 5. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Ocoee, Florida, is hereby amended, and the plumbing permit fees shall read as follows: "The Building Official shall see that all plumbing permit applicants eligible for certificates of qualification have either a certificate from the State of Florida, or have a certificate showing they have passed the Block Examination, or comply with the grandfather provisions of this Code of Ordinances. The Building Official may then issue a certif- icate or qualification after it is satisfied that the appl- icant is of good character and integrity. The Building Official may require pertinent information as it may deem necessary, including, but not being limited to; summary of experience; employment history; record of law violations, if any; a credit rating; photograph; and fingerprints of applicant." All previous Ordinances or parts of previous Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 8. Should any section or part of a section of this Ordinance be declared invalid by any court of competent jursidiction, such adjudication shall not apply or affect any other provision of this Ordinance, except to the extent that the entire section or part of the section may be inseparable in meaning and effect from the section to which such holding shall apply. SECTION 9.
