CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA;

AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION /
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY INTO THE MUNICIPAL
BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA;
MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT; DESCRIBING THE
PROPERTY TO BE ANNEXED; INCORPORATING
SAID PROPERTY INTO THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, William J. Goodman, the owner of the following
described parcel of real property, has requested and petitioned
the City of Ocoee, Florida, to annex the same in and to the
municipal boundaries of said City; and
WHEREAS, said fee simple owner has filed his Petitions and
Consents with the City Commission as provided by Article 1,
Section 6.1, of the City Charter of the City of Ocoee, and Section
171.044 and 166.041, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing as provided by Article 1, Section
6.1, of the City Charter of the City of Ocoee was held on the
question of annexation of said parcel of real property no less
than 10 days and not more than 60 days from the date of the filing
of such petition with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida,
has made an independent examination of the said property and
determined, and does hereby find, that the area involved qualifies
for municipal benefits and that it is in the best interests of the
City of Ocoee that such area should be annexed to and be included
in the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and

WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida
does hereby find and determine that said property is in an un-
incorporated area of Orange County and is contiguous to the
municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida and is compact,

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF O~J~lEL~275R?{t4897
Section 1. That the following described parcel of real
property owned by William J. Goodman, located in Orange County,
Florida be and the same hereby is incorporated into and made part
of the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida;
The East one-half (E~) of the West one-half
(W~) of the Northwest one-quarter (NW~) of
Section 9, Township 22S, Range 28 E, Orange
County;
The East one-half (E~) of the Northwest one-
quarter (NW~) and that part of the Northeast
one-quarter (NE~) of the Southwest one-quarter
(SW~) lying North of railway, Section 9, Town-
ship 22S, Range 28E, Orange County;
Beginning at a point on the North line of the
A.C.L. Railway right-of-way, which is 352 feet
from the Southwest corner of the Northeast one-
quarter (NE~) of Southwest one-quarter (SW~)
of Section 9, Township 22S, Range 28E, run
North 137 yards to a point on West line of North-
east one-quarter (NE~) of Southwest one-quarter
(SW~) of this same Northeast one-quarter (NE~) of
Southwest one-quarter (SW~) of above Section, then
in a Southeasterly direction 140 yards to the North
edge of right-of-way of A.C.L. Railway, then 105
yards Westerly with the North edge of right-of-
way of A.C.L. Railway to point of beginning.

section 2. That the City of Ocoee, Florida shall have the
power, authority, and jurisdiction over and within the lands
described in Section 1 hereof, and of the inhabitants thereof, and
the property therein, as it does have over its present corporate
limits, and all the laws, ordinances and resolutions of the said
City shall apply and have equal force and effect as if all the
territory had been a part of the City at the time of passage of
such laws, ordinances and resolutions.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage by the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida.
