MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETIN.G OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
TUESDAY. JUNE 7. 1955
Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Holmes, Minor and Pounds.
Absent: None
A quorum present.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Minor at 8:15 P.M. the
minutes of the last regular meeting held May 17, 1955 were read and
approved.
Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills as far as the money will go:
(a) From General Fund:
Harold D. Maguire, mayors fees 12 cases
W. H. Wurst Clerk fees, 12 cases
Florida Telephone Co. bills to 5-10-55
Pure Oil Co. tires and tubes for police car
R. J. Mobley, street~dept.
Florida Power Corp.. power & Lights to 5-10-55
Winter Garden Lbr Co., street dept.
Bray Hdwe Co. water dept.
Oscar Bryan Ford, police dept
Sam Oliver, wtare dept.
Anthony Sholes, street dept.
O. G. Smith, street dept.

A motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds was seconded
by Councilman Freeman, Voted and carried.
Clerk read letter from W. D. Pease dated May 25, 1955. Councilman
Freeman ma de a motion to answer his letter a~owleding it, and will
give full consideration and that it has been tabled, This motion was
seconded by Councilman Fields, voted and carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion being opposed of furnishing W. D. Pease
an, certified copies of any minutes to him unless it be requested by a
tax paying citizen of Ocoee. This motion was seconded by Councilman
Holmes, voted and carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion to have an Ordinance drawn for those to
get a permit to use any loud speakers on trucks or otherwise. This motion
was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to endorse Bletter to the school board
to get a coach to carryon a summer program to help combat juvenile
delinquency. This motion was seconded by Councilman Holmes, voted and
carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion to pay light bills for soft ball night
games for the months of May, June and J~y and August as a summer months
recreation program. Motion was seconded by Councilman Freeman,voted and

The CIerk presented to the Council a complet Tax ro~l for the year 1956.

Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. , being an
ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, annexing a certain tract
of unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries
of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County" Florida, to-wit
Beginning at the SE corner of Lot 2 of Block 2 of the Town of Ocoee
thence North 81 feet, thence west 100 feet, thence sputh 81 feet,
thence east 100 feet to the place of beginning. Motion was seconded
by Councilman Holmes, voted and carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. ~, being an
ordinance of the City Of Ocoee, Florida, annexing a certain tract I.
of unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries
of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to-wit;
Beginning at the NE corner of Lot 2 of Block 2 of the Town of Ocoee,
thence West 150 feet, thence South 60 feet, thence East 150 feet,
thence North 60 feet to the place of beginning. Motion was seconded
by Councilman Holmes, voted and carried.

ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, annexing a certain tract
of unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries
of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to-witi

East, Motion was seconded by Councilman Hqlmes, voted and carried.

Motion was seconded by Councilman Holmes, voted and carried.
There bing no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion
that the meeting be adjourned. This motion was seconded by Councilman
Holmes, voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 10:00
P.M.
