JUNE 21, 1955 1 O~) Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Holmes, Minor and Pounds. Absent: None A quorum present The meeting was called to order by Chairman Minor at 8:45 P.M. the minutes of the last regular meeting held June 7, 1955 were read and approve d. C~ouncilman Fields made a motiore to 'approve the payment of all bills except the $4.00 bill from Auto ElectricCo. (a) From General F1.Uld: John T. Minor W. H. Wurst, ~lerk fees on 3 cases Frank Butler, office expense! 1955 Florida Power Corp. soft bal game Sam Oliver, water dept Anthony Sholes, street dept O. G. S ith, street dept. Tommie e. Sanders, police to 7-1-55 A. V. Perritte, police to 7-1-55 w. H. Wurst, Clerk to 7-1-55 (b) From Interest & Sinking Fund: First National Bank, Chicago, difference in Interest due on 7-1-55 tax roll lights to 9.00 3.00 15.00 5-10- 7.93 51.45 39.20 39.20 98.00 98.00 73.50 210.32 (c) From Emergency Fund: State Bank of Apopka, police car pyt due 6-23 71.12 State Bank of Apopka, Street dept. pyt due 6-29- 115.00 A motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. Councilman Holmes made a motion after a much discussed matter of the Baptist Church Mission whe~her or not it would be a nuicesance at the'place the tent is now being set up. That until it should ,become a nuisance, that the Council have not part in the matter. This motion died for lack of a second. , Councilman Pounds made a motion to table the Church question on the place they are erecting their tent until further notice. This motion was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 315, being an Ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, regulating mechan~cal loud speakers, sound amplyfying devices or other instruments or devices within the City in such a manner or with such volume as to annoy or disturb the quiet, comfprt or repoBe of any individual, and requireing a permit and registration before operating or using such mechanical loud speakers, sound amplyfying devices or other instru- ments or devicesl and providing a penalty for violation. This motion was seconded by vouncilman Pounds, voted and carried. Cp1.Ulcilman Field made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 316, being an Ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, annexing a certain tract of unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Floridal to-W,it: Beginning at a point 5 chains East of the NW corner of the 0Et o~ the mv~ of Sec. 20 Twp. 22, S.R. 28 East, run East 8 chains, South l2! chains, West 8 chains', North 12~ chains to point of beginning. This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 317, being an Ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, annexinga certain tract of unincorpo}ated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries 'o:f'tl:l~-' 'CI t:y":"C)f'- 'O~ok'e'- :and'''~ituated in Orange County,' Florida, to-w'it: Be~in at a point 9 chains East of the NW corner of the SW~ of the NW~ of Sec. 20, Twp. 22, S.R. 28 East, thence running South 13! chains to Butler's Land, thence East 4 1/3 chains, thence South 6 chains, thence East 11 2/3 chains, thence North 19~ chains to quarter section line, thence West 16 chains to place of beginning, contain- ing 30 acres more or less. 104 Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 318, being an Ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, annexing a certain tract of unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situatep. in Orange County, Florida, to-vvit: Eight acres in the 9# corner of SW~ of the WN~ of Sec. 20, Twp.22, S.R. 28 East, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a stake at the SW corner of the said SW~ of NW~ of Sec. 20, Twp. 22, S.R. 28 East, Run East l3! chains, North 6 chains, West l3~ chains, South 6 chains to point of beginning, containing eight acres more or less. This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 319, being an . Ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, annexing a certain tract of unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to-wit: Begin at a point on the Section line between sections 19 and 20,Twpi 22, S.R. 28 East, 4.5 chains South of the NW corner of the SW~ of the NW~ of Sec. 20, Twp. \22, S. R. 28 East, run thence South 9 chains, thence EGst_9 chains, North 9 chains thence West 9 chains to place of beginning! containing eight acres more or less. This motion was seconded by_Gouncilman Pounds, voted and carried. " There being. no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion to Recess this. meeting until further notice.
