HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-02-1955 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD TUESDAY;.AUGUST 2, 195~ Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Holmes and Pounds 109 Absent: Councilman Minor, A quorum present. The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman ,Holmes at 8:30 P.M., the minutes of the last regular meeting held July 19, 1955 were read and approved. - , Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of the following bills: II (al From General Fund: W ..J.v 'J V ~ -. ~ <t II II Frank B. Councilman Fields made a motion that all City emo10yers to take fire truck each Wednesday and learn how to operate it, and to keep them in order, this motion was seconded by C'ounci1man Freeman, voted and carried. eouncilman Freeman made a motion to make Bulford ave and McKey Street intersection a four-way stop to become immediately, and the Clerk to write the State Road Department at DeLand for assistance and instruc- tions to compjt with their reu1ations. this motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. At this time the Council proceeded to finish setting assessments of all taxable property for the 1955 tax romls, which includes all property brought back in. Upopn the completion of the assessment roll, Councilman Fields made a motion to set the meeting of August 16, 1955 to hear any and all complaints, at the hour of 8:30 P.M., this motiom was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried. There being no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion to adjourn. This motion was seconded by COuncilman Pounds, voted and carried. Thereupon, The Council Adjourned at 11:35 P.M.
