MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CIT Y
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
TUESDAY. SEPTEMBER 6~ 1955
Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Mihorsand Pounds.
Absent.: Councilman Holmes.
A quorum present
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Minor at 8:20 PM the
minutes of the last regular meeing held August 16, 1955 were read
and approved:

A motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned ftunds was
seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion to tear out vault in Post Office
put in new screens, paint inside, and put in a new heater if we
can get $60.00 per month rent for the Post office, this motion was
seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried. '
The Council instructed Clerk to write the Florida Power Corp. to
take down trees that interfere with Power lines.
Councilman Fields made a motionl for Clerk to investigate the
franchise of the Florida Telephone Corp. and write Mr. Locke to
come over at the next regular_meeting to see if it needs renewing,
this motion was seconded by C uncilman Pounds, voted and carried.

Councilman Fields made a motion to accept budgett for the year 1955
aggregating $30,459., also to set the Homestead millage at 15 and
non-homestead property at 20. This motion was seconded by Councilman
Pounds, voted and carried.

Councilman Pounds made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 320, being
an ordinance declaring the intentions of the City of Ocoee, Florida
to annex a certain tract of unincorporated land lying contiguous
to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in
Orange County Florida, to-w'it: Begiru. at SW corner of SW~ of NE~
of section 18, township 22 South, Range 28 East, run thence North
150 feet, thence east 225 feet and 6 inches, thence South 150 feet,
thence west 225 feet and 6 inches to point of beginning. Less right I
of ways for roads and streets. This motion was seconded by Councilman
Fields, voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion
to adjourn. This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted
and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
