Absent: None A quorum present The meeting was called to order by Chairman Minor at 8:15 PM the minutes of the last regular meeing held September 20, 1955 were read and approved. Councilman Freeman made a motion to approve the payment of the following bills: II (a) From General Fund: G"J .~ Florida Power Corp. power & Light to 9-9-55 Florida Telephone 8,0. bills to 9-,10-55 Holmes Electric & Motor Repairs, water dept. Councilman Holmes made a motion to ask $50.00 per month from Post Office for rent, or they move within 30 days, this motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. Councilman Holmes ma, de a motion to strike off the t,...,o long distance phone calls on 621 made by Long, this motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. At this time the Council revised the City Registration Book, removing from it 26 names of those qualified votes who have died or otherwise disqualified themselve to vote in the coming November 1st City Election, Councilman Frields made a motion to adopt after the reading of Ordinance No. 322, being an Ordinance ascertaining the amount necessary to poerate the C,ity of Ocoee, Florida, for the Tax year beginning on November 1, 1955 and ending on October 31, 1956. Motion was seconded by Councilman Holmes, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt after the reading of Ordinance No. 323 being and Ordinance fixing the rate of taxation for the City of Ocoee, Florida, for the tax year beginning November 1, 1955 and ending October 31, 1956. this motion was seconded by Councilman Holmes, voted and carried. Continued on page 118 1;18' to adopt Councilman Fields made a motion/after reading of Ordinance No. 324, being an Ordinance Levying a tax upon all taxable property within the City of Ocoee, Flor~da,- for the tax year beginning November l~ 1955 and ending October 31" 1956. this motion was seconded by Councilman Holmes, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt after the reading of Ordinance no. 325, being an Ordinance appropriating and allocating all revenue of the City of Ocoee, Florida, for the year beginning November 1, 1955 and ending October 31, 1956.
