MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE crry
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
TUESDAY. NOVEMBER 15. 1955

Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Holmes, Holland and Pounds.
Absent: None
A quorum present.
The Meeting was called to order by Chaiman Holmes at 8: 00 PM and the
minute. of the last regular meeting held November 1, 1955 and the
recessed meeting of November 3, 1955 were read and approved.
Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of all bills
except that of Gibbs Ashley for $25.00 and as follows:

A motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds was seconded
by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion for ~J.er~{'to order five l-956 X tags
from Tallahassee for all vehicles, this motion was seconded by Councilman
Holland, voted and carried.
Council instrucked the Clerk to write Mr. Martin Anderson, to thank him
for space in newspapers covering council meeting and election, .t:,' :c,
Councilman Fields made a motion to raise Oliver, 9holes and Smith's pay
$2.50 per week, Motion was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carriec

Councilman Fields made a motion to appoimt a committee of five to work as
a community betterment committee1 with Ben Griffin as'acting chairman to
work up a program to present to liouncil for better living, a nd to serve
without pay. Motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried.
Since the election, there are no written or oral applications for Clerk
or Policeman's jobs which included the City Attorney. Councilman Pounds
made a motion to rehire the present Attorney, Clerk and Policeman, this
motion was seconded by Councilman Holland, voted and carried.
~ouncilman Fields made a motion to buyan addressing machine for approximate
$40.00, the plates, ink etc. for the operation of the machine would be
extra. this motion was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried.
([bun cilman Freeman made a motion that the City pay for the Clerk and
Policemen's Bonds, this motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted
and carried.

Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 327, being an
Ordinance of the City of Ocoee Orange County, Florida, regulating
standing or parking of a vehicie. this motion was seconded by Councilman
Hol1a~d, voted and carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 328, being an
Ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Orange County, Florida, limiting and
prohibiting vehicles from making "un turns or turning around. This
motion was seconded by Councilman Holland, voted and carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 329, eeing an
Odinance of the City of Ocoee, Orange County, Florida, prohibiting
stopping, standing or parking of a vehicle in specified places. this
motion was ~econded by Councilman Holland, voted ,and carried.
There being"no further business, C uncilman Pounds made a motion to
adjourn. This motion was sefonded By Councilman Freeman, voted and
carried. Th~reupon, the Council adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
