ORDINANCE NO. ~13 CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY INTO THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA; MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT; DESCRIBING THE PROPERTY TO BE ANNEXED; INCORPORATING SAID PROPERTY INTO THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ~". WHEREAS, L.M. AND Pauline Folsom, the owners of the following described parcel of real property, has requested and petitioned the City of Ocoee, Florida, to annex the same in and to the municipal boundaries of said City; and WHEREAS, said fee simple owners have filed their Petitions an Consents with the City Commission as provided by Article 1, Section 6.1, of the City Charter of the City of Ocoee, and Section 171.044, Florida Statutes; and WHEREAS, a public hearing as provided by Article 1, Section 6.1 of the City Charter of the City of Ocoee was held on the question of annexation of said parcel of real property no less than 10 days and not more than 60 days from the date of the filing of such petition with the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida, has made an independent examination of the said property and determined, and does hereby find, that the area involved qualifies for municipal benefits and that it is in the best interests of the City of Ocoee that such area should be annexed to and be included in the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida, does hereby find and determine that said property is in an un- incorporated area of Orange County and is contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida and is compact; NOW THEREFORE, :~~7t)-{(f I '/ ri.,. ;,j 71 c: P {'" ': !=' ~ - - '\-t ,_ -Sf , :.... That the following described parg~1+~l~ek~4pQ~Or y owned by L.M. and Pauline Folsom, located in Orange County,Florida be and the same hereby is incorporated into and made part of the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida; From a point on the East line of the NW~ of SW~ of SW~ of Section 9, TWP 22 South, RGE 28 East, 268.23' N 00038'00" W from the SE corner of said NW~SW~SW~, run S 89022'00" W 277.75' to the point of beginning; thence N 00038'00" W 319.02' to the South right of way of the ACL Railroad, thence S 61019'00" W along said right of way 178.31', thence S 00038'00" E 235.17', thence N 89022'00" E 157.37' to the point of beginning, subject to an easement for ingress-egress and services over the Southerly 25.00' thereof and subject to restrictions and easements of record if any. Section 2. That the City of OCoee, Florida shall have all the power, authority, and jurisdiction over and within the lands described in Section 1 hereof, and of the inhabitants thereof, and the property therein, as it does have over its present corporate limits, and all the laws, ordinances and resolutions of the said City shall apply and have equal force and effect as if all the territory had been a part of the City at the time of passage of such laws, ordinances and resolutions.
