MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
TUESDAY. DECEMBER 20. 1955

Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Holmes, Holland and Pounds.
Absent: None
A quorum present
The meeting was called to order b, Chairman Holmes at 8:15 P.M. and
the minutes of the last regular meeting held December 6, 1955 were
read and approved.
Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills.

State Bank of Apopka, Water dept. payment due 1-4-56-- 115.00
Motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds was seconded
by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to pay the State Bank of Apopka $2,000.
plus interest to January 1, 1956 of $25.56, this note was made July 28,
1955 to finish retireing $10,200. of Bonds. This motion was seconded by
Councilman Fields. voted and carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion to get street lights installed at the
intersections of Lakewood and Orlando Streets and Lakewood and Columbus
street, this motion was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried.
Gouncilman Fields! made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 330, being an
ordinance of the Liity of Ocoee, 6range County" Florida" imposing a tax.
on each an every purchase of electricity, water service, Telephone
Service and telegraph' service, within the geographic boundaries of the
City of Ocoee; prviding for the collection thereofl providing for certain
exemptions from said tax; and pevscrib~g penalties for the violation of
this.ordinance~ Motio~ was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted upon an
carr1ed. Councilmen F1elds, Freeman, Holland, Holmes & Pounds Voted AYE.
There being no further business Councilman Fields made a motion to
adjorn. This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted amd carried.
Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 10:10 P.M.

Present: aouncilmen Fields, Freeman, Holland and Pounds.
Absent: Councilman Holmes
A quorum present
The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Holland at S:30 P.M.
and the minutes of the last regular meeting held December 20, 1955 were
read and approved.
Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the payment of the following
bills:
(a) From General Fund:
John T. Minor, fees on 9 cases
w. H. Wurst, fee on 9 cases
Board of County Commissioners, 25 loads clay @$1.75
W. H. Wurst Agency, Insurance on C;ity Hall Bldg

Motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds was
seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried.
Councilman Freeman made a motion to purchase 25 loads of clay ,from
County at $1.75 per load, motion was se~onded by Councilman Fie~ds
voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion to
adjourn. This motion was seo=nded by Councilman Pounds, voted and
varried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
