MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
TUESDAY. JANUARY 17. 1956

Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Holland, Holmes and Pounds.
Absent: None
A quorum present
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Holmes at 8:15 P.M.
and the minutes, of the last regular meeting held January 3, 1956
were read and approved.
Councilman Fields made a motion to approve the ~yment of' the
following bills. Except Davis Meter Repair Co. '80.00
(a) trp~ General Fund:
John T. Minor! mayors fees 8 cases
W. H. Wurst, vlerk fees 8 cases
State Bank of Apopka, Deposit box rent for 1956
Cash paid out, water dept. 2000 post cards
Eddie's Kitchen, Police dept. meals
Henry's ,Station,Police Dept.
Winter Garden Lumber Co. Street dept.
Ocoee Super Market, refund on 1956 license

Motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds was seconded
by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried.
mcuncilman Freeman made a motion to refund the Ocoee Super Market $10.00
for over charge for 1956 license, and to revise Fields Grocery's license
to $20.00. This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted & Carried.
Councilman Fields made a motion that the City pay the remainder of the
charges for killing shad from St22ke Lake what is not donated. motion was
seconded by Councilman Holland, ~oted and carried.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to have Bill Peeples to bolldose the
City garbage dump and cover it up for $200.00, motion was seconded by
Councilman Freeman, voted and carried.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to adopt ordinance NO.331, being an
Qrdinance declaring the intention of the City of Ocoee, Florida to annex
a certain tract of unincorporated land lying contiguous to the minicipal
boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida,
to-wit: Lots 50 and 51 Block 3, Town of Ocoee, according to the Plat
thereof as recorded in Plat Book "Aft, Page 100 and 101, Public Records
of Orange County, Florida. This motiQn,~sseconded by Councilman Holland,
Councilman Fields, Freeman, Holland/MB~'1aunds voted AYE, voted and carried
Councilman Pounds made a motion to adopt Ordinance No.332 being an
ordinance declaring the intentions of the City of Ocoee, Florida, to annex
a certain tract of unincorporated landx lying contiguous to the minicipal
boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County" Florida,
to-wit.: Lots 35 and 36 Block 4 Town of Ocoee, a ccording to the Plat
thereof as recorded in Plat Book IrA'-, Pages 100 and 101, Public records
of Orange County, Florida. Motion was seconded by Councilman Holland.
Councilman, Fields, Freeman, Hollaad, Holmes and Pounds Voted AYE, Voted
and carried.

There being no further business, Councilman Holland ma de a motion
to agjourn. This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and
carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 10:55 P.M.
