JULY 3, 1~56 157 Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Holland, Holmes and Pounds. Ab sent: None A quorum present Councilman Freeman made a motion to adjourn the last regular meeting of June 19, 1956. Motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted & Carrie . d The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Holland at 9:00 P.M. and the minutes of last regular meeting held June 19, 1956 were read and a ppr oved . Councilman Pounds made a motion to approve the payment of the following bill s : (a) From General Fund: Sam Oliver, water dept to 7-6-56 Cash Paid out, $40~00 post cards,water dept$3.50 postage stamps for office Florida Telepijone Corp. bills to 6-10-56 Anthony Sholes, street labor to 7-6-56 o. G. Smith, street labor to 7-6-56 o. A. S. I. Contribution Fund, quarter ending 6-30- West Orange Lumber Cpo Fire Dept. C. C. Ramuset, fill dirt for street (b.) From Cigarette Tax Fund: Iserman & Co., street dept Bray Hdwe Co. street dept Winter Garden Lumber Co. Street dept Richard Bodiford, Street labor to 7-6-56 58.80 43.50 4.05 41. 65 4:1..65 lCftr.~ 12.47 5.00 .94 17.42 15.20 41.65 A motion to pay aforesaid bills from above mentioned funds was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted and carried. Councilman Pounds made a motion to issue the Church of God a permit~ for the use of the advertising equipment during their state convention from July 11th throu July 14th, 1956. motion was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried. Councilman Freeman made a motion to table the taking over the Ocoee Cemetray and carryi~or it. motion was seconded by Councilman Fields voted and carried. C,ouncilman Fields made a motion to have Councilman Freeman t 0 act as Chairman on purchasing a respiratiof, and that any funds lacking from public contribution, that the City would make it up. this motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds. Voted and carried. Councilman Freeman made a motion to accept the resignation of W. H. Wurst as Clerk, this motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted and carried! I 1 There being no further business, Councilman Pounds made a motion to recess, This motion was seconded by Councilman Freeman, voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council recessed at 11:35 P.M. ATTEST: J ~ /1/1 - ~CitY Clerk ~ Vife:C;:-,[{'~~land Before the Council adjourned, the Clerk p~sented to the Council the 1956 Tax Roll, and after reviewing a portion of the book by the CounCil, it was indicated that the assessments would stand the same as 1955, w1th the exceptiom of those parcels where improvements have been made.
