SEPTro~BER 18, 1956 Present: Councilmen Fields, Fre~man, Holland and Pounds Absent: aouncilman Holmes 169 A quorum present The meeting was called to order by Uice-Ckairman Holland at 8:30 P.M. and the minutes of last regular meeting held Sept~mber 4, 1956 and the recessed meeting held September 5,1956 were rea~and approved. Eouncilman Fields made a motion to approve ~the payment of the following bill s; (a) From Geueral Fund: Cash paid out, water dept C,.. L. Steiner, fire dept John T. Minor fees of 5 cases W. H. Councilman Fields made a motiQn that Freeman and Holland to work out something on parking problems from Post Office to Railroad and subject to the approval of the Council. motion was seconded by Counciman Pounds voted and carried. At this time the ~ouncil canvassed the registration book and order 62 names striken from the book of those persons who have died or otherwise become ineligible to vote in the regular City election to be held this November 6th. Councilman Pouijds made a motion that the registration book be opened as of September 20th for the purpose of registering those who are qualified to vote in the regular City election November 6th. thDs motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted and carried. Councilman Fields made a motion that the Clerk contact at least three Certified Public Accountants and get best price to audit City books, motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. There being no further business Councilman Freeman made a motion to recess. 'This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds, voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council recessed at 11:25 P.M.
