FLORIDA, HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER b, 1956 Present: Councilmen Fields, Freeman, Holmes, Holland and Pounds. 179 Absent: None A quorum present The meeting was; called to order by Chairman Holmes at 8 :30 P..M. and the minutes of last regUlar meeting held October 16, 1956nand recessed meeting held October 23, 1956 were read and approved. , Councilman Fields made a motion to pay on all old bills as far as the money goes, and listed as follows: (a) From General Fund: M1 &. Councilman Fields made a motion to have the Clerk's Bond renewed until he is released from his job, this motion was sedonded by Councilman Holland, voted and carried. Councilman Holland made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 355, being an ordian~~ce of the City of Ocoee, Florida, annexing a certain tract of unincorporated land lying 90ntiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County" Florida, to-wit: Lots 1 to 4 both inclusiue, in Block 5, according to plat of Town of Ocoee, plat Book "A", Page 100, Publ~c records of Orange County, Florida. Councilman Freeman made a motion to accept the count of the election board for the regular City election November 6, 1956 read by the Clerk to elect three councilmen for the term~ of two years. The total votes cast was 260 which reads as follows: Delma E. Fields 179 votes; Porter Fox 118 votes; Jack Marsden 188 votes, Edwin H. Pounds 217 votes. The three receiving the highest number of votes are Delam E. Fields, Jack Marsden and Edwin H. Pounds and are duly elected. This motion was seconded by Councilman Holland, voted and carried. Continued on page 180 180 At this time Mayor John T. Minor administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected.:Gouncilmen Delman E. Fields, Jack Marsden and Edwin H. Pounds. There beang no further business, Councilman Freeman made a motion to adjourn. This motion was seconded by Councilman Fields, voted and carried. Thereupon, the Council adjourned at 9:05 P.M.
