HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-25-1957 SS MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD THURSDAY APRIL 25th.1957 205 I On April 20th.1957 Council was notified that a special meeting would be held at 4;00 P.M. April 25th.1957. The offices of The City of Ocoee had moved from the W. H. Wurst BUilding, to a building owned by the City at the corner of Cumberland and Mckey Streets. This meeting was held in the new quarters. Present; Councilmen Freeman, Fields, Marsden and Pounds. Absent; Councilman Holland A quorum present The meeting was called to order by Councilman Freeman. A motion was made by Councilman Fields that the City clerk write a letter to the Post office Dept. in Jacksonville, asking that the room now occupied by the Ocoee Post Office be vacated to give additional space to the City offices. This motion was seconded by Councilman Marsden, and passed unanimously. c-:J ~ ~.:::r <r: ~ <::t A motion was made by Councilman Fields tbat City clerk get a list of City of Ocoee bond holders and write letters to owners for the purpose of purchasing same to the amount of $7,500.00 Motion was seconded by Councilman Marsden. Voted and carried. There being no further business, a motion was made by Council- man Pounds to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Councilman Fields.
