MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA,HELD
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th. 1957

Present; Councilmen Freeman, Pounds, Fields, Holland & Marsden.
Absent; None
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Freeman at 8;00 P. M.
and the minutes of the last regular meeting, ReId Sept. 3rd.1957, and
the minutes of the special meeting held Sept.llth. 1957, were read and
approved.
A motion was made by Councilman Fields to pay the following bills.
Motion was seconded by Councilman Marsden. Voted and carried.

A motion was made by Councilman Fields and seconded by Councilman Marsden
that the City of Ocoee secure a loan from The State Bank of Apopka for the
purchase of equiptment and materials from Camp Blanding, for the use by the
City for Civil Defence. This loan to be for $1,000.00 Arrangements for payment
'of same to be made by Mayor John T. Minor, and President of Council Clifford
Freeman. This motion was passed unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion that registration book be opened as of Sept.
18th. for the purpose of registering those who are qualified to vote in the
regular election to be held November 5th. 1957.Seconded by Councilman Pounds.
Voted and carried.' '
Motion by Councilman Marsden that forms be prepared for use of candidates who
are qualified to run for Mayor and Councilman in the regular election to be
held November 5th.1957.Seconded by Councilman Pounds. Voted and carried.
There being no further business, Councilman Marsden made a motion to adjourn.
Seconded by Councilman Holland. Voted and carried. Thereupon Council adjourned
at 10;30 P. M.
