COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELD
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5TH. 1957

Motion was made by Councilman Holland to adjourn recessed meeting of Oct.
22nd.1957. Motion seconded by Councilman Pounds. Voted and carried.
Present; Councilmen Freeman, Pounds, Fields, Holland and Marsden.
Absent; None
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Freeman at 9;00 P. M. and
the minutes of the regulard meeting, held October 15th. 1957, recessed
meeting held October 17th.1957land recessed meeting held October 22nd.1957r
were read and approved.
Councilman Fields made a motion to accept the count of the election board
for the regular City election held November 5th.1957 read by the clerk,to
elect a Mayor and two Councilmen for a term of two years. The total votes cast
was 375 which read as follows: For Mayor; Pat Broadaway 196 votes, John T.
Minor 150 votes, For Councilmen C. R. "Cliff"Freeman; 223 votes, Sam Holland
165 votes, Richard A. Doss Jr. 156 votes, Winfred Lewis Whitehead 126 votes.
Making the highest number of votes for Mayor,Pat Broadaway, and the highest
number of votes for Councilmen, Cliff Freeman and Sam Holland, and they are
duly elected as Mayor and Councilman. There WqS one wri~e in vo~e cast for

11:-and 21, the vote was,For the amendment,lll votes, Against,77 votes. Since
does not constitute a majority of the voters,they were not passed. This EHaRK
~H<< motion was seconded by 'Councilman Pounds, and carried unanimously.
At this time Justice of the peace Tucker, District 3, Orange County, Florida,
administered the Oath of Office to Pat Broadaway, newly elected Mayor. In
turn Mayor Broadaway administered the Oath of Office to C. R. " Cliff" Free-
man and Sam Holland, as newly elected Councilmen.
There being no further business, Councilman Fields made a motion to adjourn.
This motion was seconded by Councilman Pounds. Voted and carried. Thereupon
Council adjourned at 10;40 ~~ M.
