ORDINANCE NO. 4 7 10
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY INTO THE MUNICIPAL
BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA;
MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT; DESCRIBING THE
PROPERTY TO BE ANNEXED; INCORPORATING
SAID PROPERTY INTO THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE

WHEREAS, Emmett D. Harper, Jacqueline Harper and�rbenver Harper,
the owners of the following described parcel of real property, have
requested and petitioned the City of Ocoee, Florida, to annex the
same in and to the municipal boundaries of said City; kz?�L ,,�� *

WHEREAS, said fee simple owners have filed their Petitions
and Consents with the City Commission as provided by Article 1,
Section 6.1, of the City Charter of the City of Ocoee and Section
171.044, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing as provided by Article 1, Section
6.1 of the City Charter of the City of Ocoee was held on the
question of annexation of said parcel of real property no less tha
10 days and not more than 60 days from the date of the filing of
such petition with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida,
has made an independent examination of the said property and
determined, and does hereby find, that the area involved qualifies
for municipal benefits and that it is in the best interests of the
City of Ocoee that such area should be annexed to and be included
in the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida,
does hereby find and determine that said property is an unincorpo-
rated area of Orange County and is contiguous to the municipal
boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida and is compact;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE:
Section 1. That the following described parcel of real properi
owned by Emmett D. Harper, Jacqueline Harper and Denver Harper,
located in Orange County, Florida, be and the same hereby is incor-
porated into and made part of the municipal boundaries of the City
of Ocoee, Florida;
Beginning 30 feet West and 30 feet North of the South-
east corner of the Northeast 4- of Section 17, Township
22, Range 28 East, run thence West 100 Feet, thence
North 200 feet, Thence East 100 feet, thence 200 feet
to the point of beginning; subject to road rights-of-way
on the South and East sides.
tion 2. That the City of Ocoee, Florida shall have all the
power, authority, and jurisdiction over and within the lands de-
scribed in Section 1 hereof, and of the inhabitants thereof, and
the property therein, as it does have over its present corporate
limits, and all the laws, ordinances and resolutions of the said
City shall apply and have equal force and effect as if all the
territory had been a part of the City at the time of passage of
such laws, ordinances and resolutions.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage by the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida.
