CTTY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA
AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE.ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY INTO THE MUNICIPAL.
BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA;
MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT; DESCRIBING THE
PROPERTY TO BE ANNEXED; INCORPORATING
SAID PROPERTY INTO THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the School Board of Orange County, the owner of the
Ifollowing described parcel of real property, has requested and petitioned the
City of Ocoee, Florida, to annex the same in and to the municipal boundaries
lof said City; and
WHEREAS, said fee simple owner has filed its petition and consent
with the City Commission as provided by Article 1, Section 6.1, of the City
Charter of the City of Ocoee and Section 171.044, Florida Statutes; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing as provided by Article 1, Section 6.1
lof the City Charter of the City of Ocoee was held on the question of annexation
hof said parcel of real property not less than 10 days and not more than 60
days from the date of the filing of such petition with the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida, has made
an independent examination of the said property and determined, and does hereby
find, that the area involved qualifies for municipal benefits and that it is in
the best interests of the City of Ocoee that such area should be annexed to and
be included in the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Ocoee, Florida, does
hereby find and determine that said property is in an unincorporated area of
Orange County and is contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of
Ocoee, Florida, and is compact; ,-

NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF OCOEt:
Section 1. That the following described parcel of real property owned
iby the School Board of Orange County, located in Orange County, Florida, be and I
the same hereby is incorporated into and made part of the municipal boundaries
"of the City of Ocoee, Florida:

Begin at the Northwest corner of Section 20,
Township 22 South, Range 28 East, in Orange
County, Florida, and run thence South on the
West line of said Section 20 a dastance of
700.25 feet, run thence North 89 49'00" East
150.00 feet, run thence South 5.96 feet, run
thence South 84039'00" East 459.00 feet, run
thence North and parallel with the West line
of said Section 20 a distance of 744.35 feet
to the North li8e of said Section 20, run
thence North 89 36'23" West on the North line
of Section 20 a distance of 607.01 feet to
the POB.
Section 2. That the City of Ocoee, Florida, shall have all the power,
authority, and jurisdiction over and within the lands described in Section 1
hereof, and of the inhabitants thereof, and the property therein, as it does
have over its present corporate limits, and all the laws, ordinances and
resolutions of the said City shall apply and have equal force and effect as
if all the territory had been a part of the City at the time of passage of such
laws, ordinances and resolutions.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
passage by the City Commission of the City of Ocoee.
