MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, HELDDOCT. 6, 1959
Present: Councilman: Freeman, Pounds, Holland, Marsden, & Howell
and Mayor Broadaway

The meeting was called to order by Councilman Freeman at 8:35 P.M.
, The minutes of the last. regular meeting held Sept. 15, 1959 and the
special meeting held Sept. 16, 1959, the special meetigg held Sept.
19, 1959, the special meeting held Sept. 21, 1959, the spetial
meeting held Sept. 29, 1959 and the special meeting held Oct. 6, 1959
were read.'land approved.
A motion was made by Councilman Pounds that the Council appr9ve the
following bills. The motiom'lWas seconded by Councilman Marsden.
Voted and Carried.

CO'Jncilman Pounds made a motion to take the following
described property in the City Limits of the City of
Ocoee: North 360 feet of NW i of SW i of Section 9,
Township 22 South, Range 28 East.
Motion was seconded by Councilman Howell. Coun~i1men
Holland, Howell, Marsden, & Pounds voted AYE. No no's motion
carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Councilman Holland to accept ordinance
#395 being an ordinance of the City of Ocoee regulating the
date of holding regular City elections and defining the date of
Qualification of candidates for election to office in the City

Government of the ~ssessment of a, Qualifying fee to help defray the expE
expenses of the City Election. Motion was seconded by Councilman
Marsden. Councilman Holland, Pounds, Marsden, & Howell voted
AYE. No no's. carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Councilman Marsden to accept Ordinance #396
being an Ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Orange County, Florida,
a~endiDg section two of Ordinance; #376 prescribing the Qualifications
necessary for. a perpon to hold an elected public offic~ in the
- City of Ocoee, Florida. Motion was seconded by Councilman I
Holland. Councilmen Holland, Howell, Pounds, Marsden voted AYE
no no's. Carried unanimously.
. Councilman Pounds made a motion to sell a 1946 Chevrolet truck
for #50.00. Motion seconded by Councilman Howell. Councilman
Holland, Marsden, Pounds, & Howell voted ATE nQ~no's. Carried
unanimously.
A motion, was made by Councilman Pound~ to contace the First
National. Bank of Chicago to call i~ $3,000.00 of Bonds.
Motion was seconded by Councilman Marsden. Councilmen Marsden,
Pounds, Howeil;l~ Holland voted AYE. No no's Carried unanimously.

A motion was made to accept the resolution between the Atlantic
Coast Line and the City of Ocoee" concerning putting the water
line under the railroad. Motion was seconded by Councilman
Marsden.. Councilman Marsden, Holland, Howell & ~ounds voted
AYE. No no's. Carried unanimously.,

There being no further business Councilman Pounds made a motion
to recess this meeting. Councilman Marsden seconded the.motion.
There uppn Council recessed at 12:30 P.M.
