MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE
FLORIDA HELD AUGUST 2, 1960

Present~ Councilmen: Freeman, Pounds, Howell, Marsden and Laird
Absent:
Mayor Minor
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Pounds at 8:10 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held July 19, 1960 were
read and approved.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to adjollrn the recessed meeting
held July 19, 1960. Councilman Laird~ seconded the motion..
Voted and Carried.
Councilman Howell made a motion that Council approve the following
billi. Councilman Laird seconded the motion. Voted and Carried.

Councilman Ho1tlWll made a motion to pay the bill for in-
stalling a plug in Chamber of Commerce affice. Council-
man seconded the motion. Councilman Howell, Marsden and
Laird voted AYE.' ',.No,-'no' s. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion that the Chamber of Comm-
erce should have their own telephone due to the fact that
-the City feels that they cannot have Chamber of Commerce
busi ness interfering with City business.' Bouncilman Howell
seconded the motion. Councilmen, Howell, Marsden and
Laird voted AYE. No no's. Carried unanimously.

Councilman Marsde:a: made a motion for Council to give Nouncilman
Howell permission to find out from Sam Holland what he will
charge the City finish numbering the houses in Ocoee. Council-
man Laird seconded the motion. Councilmen Howell, Marsden and
Laird voted 'AYE. No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Howell made a motion for the Council to give Attorney
Spencer C. Cross permission to draw up an ordinance giving the
Council ap:thority to be a Pardon Board. Councilman Laird sec-
onded the motion. Councilmen Howell, Marsden and Laird voted
AYE._ No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to have the Point Southeast
of the trailer park apDraised to see if it is feasible for
. condemnation. The.motion died for lack of a second.
~here being no further business Councilman Laird made a motion
to recess this meeting. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion.
Thereupon Council recessed ,at 10:15 P.M.
