MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
JANUARY 3, 1961

The meeting was called to order:, by Councilman Freeman at 8:05 P.M.
The minutes of the regular meeting held December 20, 1960, .the
postponed regular meeting held December 22, 196m and the recessed
regular meeting held December 23, 1960 weEe read and approved.
Councilman Howell made a motion to adjourn the recessed meeting
held December 23, 1960. Councilman Laird seconded the motion.
Voted and carried unanimously.
Councilman Laird made a .motion that Council approve the.following
bills. Councilman Howell seconded the motion. Voted and Carried.

Councilman R~id made a motion to Close the checking accounts
at the Sta-pe;:Bank of Apopka and open them at the Bank of West
-Orange in Ocoee, Florida. Councilman Howell seconded the
motion. Councilman Howell,~eid, Laird voted YES. No no's.
Carried unanimously.
Councilman Reid made a motion to designate the first parking
space on corner of McKey Street and Cumberland Avenue in front
of Ocoee Marine Center for Police Parking only. Councilman
Howell seconded the motion. Councilman Howell, Laird and Reid
voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.

Councilman Laird made a motion to install necessary amount of
lights to the new Bank and thhee more lights on South Bluford
and 2 small lights on Lakewood & Columbus and Bluford Ave. and
Columbus. Councilman Howell seconded the motion. Councilmen
Howell, -Laird and Reid voted rES. No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Howell made a motion to put an add in the Orlando
Sentinal to congratulate the Bank of .West .Orafige;.::.C:;.ouncilmandLaird
seconeed the motion. Councilmen.Howell, Laird and Reid.voted
YES. no no's. Carried unanimously.-
Councilman Reid made a motion to buy two tires for the Police
car from the Ocoee Service Station. Councilman Howell seconded
the motion. Councilmen Howell, Laird, and Reid voted YES. No
no's. Carried unanimously.
There being ,no further business Councilman Reid made a motion
to recess this meeting. Councilman Laird seconded the motion.
Thereupon Council recessed at 9:30 P.M.

- 60NTINUATION OF THE MEETING HELD JANUARY 3, 1961
The Cit~ Attorney having duafted and presented for adoption an
Ordinance declaring the intention of the City to annex- that. port~on
of the NWi of the SWt of Section 9, Township 22 South, Range 28 East
lying North of Wurst Road and the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and
it having been read in its entirety three times, Councilman Marsden
made a motion that it be adopted as Ordinance No. 409-A of the City,
Councilman Howell seconded the motion. Councilman Howell, Laird,
Marsden 8nd Pounds voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.
