The minutes of the last regular meeting hela April 4~, 1961, the special meeting held April 10, 1961 and the special meeting held April 11, 1961 were read and aDproved. Councilman Howell made a motion tbat Council approve the following bills. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Voted and carried unanimously. (A ) FRor~ GENERAL FUND: I O.A.S.I. H. Morningstar a puilding permit to replace his rocf on his house. council- man Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Hovlell, Leird, Reid and Marsden voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Reid made a motion to table the discussion of the City of Gcoee buying the sewer system from Spring Lake School until more information was obtained. Councilman Laird seconded the mot1on. Councilmen Laird, Howell, r:larsd en a nd Reid voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. ,... Councilman Howell made a motion to accept ~~. Ben Griffin's resignation as the City's Municipal Judge. Motion died for lack of a second. Marsd.en made a motion to retai.n Nr. Ben Griffin as the City's municipal Judge. Couhcilman Laird seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden and Laird voted YES. Councilman Howell voted NO. Councilman Reid re~rained from vottng. Motion was carried. Cbuncilman Marsden made a motion that the City not go i.nto the Sewer System Business a't the present time. The City of Gcoee will have the 1 option to purchase either or both the sewer sytems to be installed by West Orange Industries, Inc. at any time they so desire. Council~n Laird seconded thy motion. Councilmen HowelJ, Laird, Marsden and Reid voted YES. No no s. Carried unanimously. Councilman Reid made a motion to borrow money from thetBank of West Orange to payoff the State Bank of Apopka and .the First National Bank of Winter Garden. Councilman Reid seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Howell, Reid and Laird voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Howell made a motion to~match the amount donated by the Lion's Club and the Ocoee Chamber of Commerce for the Water Front Activities on, Starke Lake for the Summer. Councilman Marsden sec- onded the motion. Councilmen Howell, Marsden, Laird, and Reid voted YES. No no's~ Carried unanimously. . , . Councilman Reid made a motion to donate.$IOO.OO to the Gcoee Boy Scouts. Councilman M&rsden seconded the. motion. Counci~men Howell, Reid, Marsden, and Laird voted YES no. no's.. Carried unanimously. . Councilman Reid made a motion to recco~~end tb the Ocoee Chamber of Commerce to hire Mr. Robert Williams as swimming instructor and life guard for the ~aterfront Activities on Starke Lake. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Howell, Reid, Ularsden and Laird voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.. There being no~"further business Councilman Reid made a motion to Cld- journ this meeting. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. There- upon Council adjourned at 11:10 P.M.
