MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OCOEE J OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
MAY 2, 1961
. Present: Councilmen: Freeman, Howell, Laird, Marsden, & Re!d
Mayor Minor
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Freeman at 8:00 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held April 18, 1961 were
read and approved.
Councilman Marsden made a motion that the, Council approve the
following bills. Councilman Reid seconded the motion. Voted
and carried.

Councilman Reid made a motion to table the discussion of the
Watershed Project Application uptil more information is obtained.
Councilman Howell seconded the motion. Councilmen Howell, Reid ,
Marsden and Laird voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. ,
for the Ocoee Boys
Councilman Marsden made a motion to donate $50.0~to the Soft
Ball Club in Winter Garden. Councilm~n Reid seconded the motion.
Councilmen Reid, Marsden, and Laird <md"~Howell voted YES.
No no's. Carried unanimously.
A Committee of Councilmen Reid, Marsden) Laird and Howell was
appointed by Charrman of Council Councilman Freeman to investi-
gate buying some property f or Football and Softball Fields.
Councilmen Marsden made a motion to aRnex the Ocoee Cemetery
into the City of Ocoee. Councilman Howell seconded the motion.
Councilmen Howell, Laird, Marsden and Reid voted YES. No no's.
Carried unanimously. .
On the recommendation of Mayor Minor/
Councilman Marsden made a motion that no member of the City
Cbuncil would get any payment for his services. Councilman
Relid seconded the motion. Councilmen HO\-lell., Reid, Marsden
and Laird voted YES. Carried.
At this time Councilman Raymond G. Howell tendered his resig-
nation as a.member of the City Council of the City of Ocoee.
There being. no further business Councilman Marsden made ammotion
to adjourn this meeting. Councilman Reid seconded the motion.
Thereupon Council adjourned at-9:50 P.M.
