Absent: Councilman Howell (resigned) The meeting was called to order by Councilman Freeman at 8:00 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting held May 2, 1961 were read and approved. _ t I Councilman Marsden made a motion that Council approve the following bills. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Council- men, Marsden, Reid, and Laird voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimousiy. Councilman Marsden made a motion to reject Mr. Boys Wilson's proposal toerect a funeral Home on Lots 3, 4, and 5 Lakeridge Plat. Councilman Laird seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Reid and Laird voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Marsden made a motion to accept Counci~an Raymond G. Howell's resignation. Councilman Reid seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Reid and Laird voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. " Councilman Laird m.de a motion to appoint Mr. E. A. DOdge for the unex- I pired term of office of Councilman Howell. Councilman Reid seoondetl the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Reid and Laird voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. At this time Mr. ~. A. Dodge was sworn into office by Mayor John T. Minor. CDuncitman Dodge was appointed as Chairman of the Street Dept. by Chairman of Council Councilman Freeman. " Councilman Reid made a motion to have Jimmy" Russell put a manhole" on Wurst Road for Proper Drainage. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Reid, Laird and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. ' . . Councilman Marsde~ made a motion to adopt Ordinance # 413 being an ordiance of the City of Oc~ee, pertaining to the parking of house trailers designed or used as a plac~" of abode and providing a penalty for violation. Council- man Laird seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Laird, Reid and Dodge voted YES. No no!s. Carried unanimously. . Cbuncilman Reid m~de a motion to adopt; Ordinance # 414, being an ordinance of the City of Ocpee, Florida, relating to automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, and other motor v~hicles parked upon the public streets, alleys, public parks and parkways of tJ1e Citv or. Ocoee and for the taking up, seizing, storing I and disposing of same.Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilman Reid, Mar~den, La~rd, and Dodge vot~d YES. No n~'s. Carried unanimously. Councilman Marsden made a motion to contaat Florida" Power Corp. to have their engineers run a survey to determine how many lights will be needed to light the new Silver Star Road. Councilman Laird seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Ried, Laird, ana Dedge voted YES. Carried unanimously. .
