The minutes of the last regular meeting held May 16, 1961 and the special meeting held June 1, 1961 were read and approved. . Councilman Laird made a motion that Council approve the following bills. Councilman Reid made,a motion to have Florida Power Corp. install 2 more street lights on the Apopka Highway and 2 more streetJlights on the Winter Garden Highway. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Reid, Marsden, Laird, and Dodge voted YES. No no's. I Carried unaimously. Councilman Reid made a motion to write the State Road Department to ask them to maHe a resurvey on the four designated crossings forCtrafl!ic lrght~ Councilmen Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Laird, Dodge,_ Reid and Marsden-voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Marsden made a motion-to change the water rates as follows: First 5,000 gallons - $2.50 plus 10% utility tax. Second 5,000 gallons - 15~ per thousand gallons plus 10% utility tax. Allover 10,000 gallons - 10i per thousand-gallons plus 10% utility tax. Councilman Laird. seconded the mqtion.- Councilmen Laird, Reid, Marsden, and Dodge voted YES. No no's. earried unanimously. Councilman Laird, made a motion to buy a hydraulic jack for the City for $25.00. Councilma.n Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Reid, Laird, Marsden, and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Laird made a motion to make Sam Oliver superintendent over all City Employees on the Street, Garbage and Water Departments. Councilman Dodge-seconded the motion. Councilmen Laird, Reid, Marsden, and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanmmously. Councilman Reid made a motion to donate $100.00 to the Little League Ball Club. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Reid, I Laird, Marsden and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Reid made a motion to Starke Lake, Lake Moxie, Deep Lake, and Scrub Lake sp~~yed with Copper- Sulphate. Councilman Laird seconded the motion. Councilmen Reid, Laird, Dodge and Marsden voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Counc1~man Marsden made a motion that Council start assessing property on tax roll. Councilman Laird seconded the motion. Councilmen Reid, Laird, Marsden and Bodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unammmously. ~here being no further business Councilman Marsden made a motion to adgounn this meeting. Councilman Laird seconded the motion. Thereupon Council agjourned at 11:00 P.M.
