CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
JUNE 20, 1961
Present: Councilmen; Freeman, Dodge" Laird, Reid and Marsden
Absent:
Mayor Minor
The" meeting was ca:ll.led to order by Vice-President Councilman Laird
at 8:00 P.M. The minutes of the regular meeting held June 6, 1961
were read and approved.
Councilman Marsden made a motion that Council approve the following
bills. Councilman Reid seconded the motion. Voted and Cnrried.

Councilman Reid made a motion that the City refund alJ
money donated to the Cemetery Fund to build a fence around
the Cemetery. Councilman ~arsden seconded the motion.
Councilmen Reid, Matsgen, and Dodge voted YES. No no's.
C?rried unanimously.
Councilman Dodge made a motion to pay Scott & Dalrymple Paving
Co. $1,275.00, the bolance of the paving bill owec by the City
of Ocoee. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen
ff,arsden, R~id, and Dodge voted YES. No nos. Carried unanimously.
Cou~cilmen Marsden made a motion to trarlsfer $1,275.00 from the
Interest and Sinking Fund to the General Fund to payoff Scott
and Dalrymple Paving Co. Councilman Reid seconded the Motion.
Councilmen Reid, Dodge, and Marsden voted YES. No no's. Carried
unanimously.
CouncilmAn Marsden made a motion on Mayor Pro~Tem Cliff Freemants
reccommendation to contact Railroad of Public Utilities for G he~ring
to have the mileage charge discontinued from the Ocoee Telephone Bills
Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen Reid, Dodge and Laird
voted YES. tb Eo's. Carried unaimously.
CouncilmCJn Marsden made a motion for the City to continue,their
Workman's Compensation Insurance \i th IV. H. \rJurst Agency. Councilman
Reid seconded the motion. Councilmen Reid, Laird and Dodge voted YES.
No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to adopt Ordinance # 415 An ordinance
declaring the intention of the City of Ocoee to annex a certain Tract of
unincorporated land lying contiguous to the nunicipal boundaries of-the I
City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida. Councilman
Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen Reid, Dodge and Marsden voted
YES. No no's. Carried unenimously.
Councilman Dodge made a motion to notify Mr~ M. L. Campbell, Mr.'
J. L. Black and-Mr. J. M. James that they will have 30 days to move"
their fence off City Property. Councilman Reid seconded the motion.
COuncilmen Reid, Dodge and Marsden voted YES. No no's. Carried
unanimously.
Councilman Reid' made a motion to appoint Harold Woodley, Billy Peavy
and Billy Maltby as special policemen on Lake-Front on weekends, holidays,
ball fames and special occasions. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion.
Councilmen Reid", Marsdenand Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion for the City of pay for the Gcoee Volunteer
Fire Dept. rescue truck, Oouncilman Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen
Dodge, Reid and" garsden voted YES. No no's. Carri ed unnnimously.

The meeting was' calJed to order by Councilman 18ird at 5:20 P.M.
Councilman Reid made a motion to give IrCl l.kins a permit to move
his house back 32 feet. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion.
Councilmen Reid, Dodge and Narwden voted YES. No nots. Carried.
unanimously.

Councilman Dodge made a motion to issue a license to Jackson Minit
Market to sell beer and" wine, off premises, only. Councilman Marsden
seconded the motion. 80uncilmen Marsden, Reid, and Dodge voted YES.
No no's. Carried unanimously.
There being no further business Councilman Marsden made a motion to
recess this meeting. Councilman Reid seconded the motion. Thereupon
Council recessed at 6:00 P.M.
