TJIINUTES OF THE CITY COUNOIL OF THE
CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD

Present: Councilmen: Freeman, Reid, Dodge, Laird and Marsden

The meeting was called to order by Councilman Freeman at 8:00 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held August 15, 1961 and
the special meeting held August 29, 1961 were read and approved.
Councilman Marsden made a motion that Council approve the following
bills. Councilman Laird sec0nded the motion. Voted and carried.

made a motion on the Mayor's Reccomendation to
Police Leroy Turner shoot the squirrels on Mrs.
Councilmen Marsden seconded the motion. Council-
Marsden and Laird voted y~S. No no's. Carried
Councilman flodge made a motion to accept the property presented
to the Council by I'vTr. Lamato, description of property was not
given,-pending acceptance of F.H.A. approval and restrictions
of undesirable commercial property. Councilman Heid seconded
the motion. Councilmen Reid and Dodge voted YES. Councilman
Marsden, Laird and Freeman voted NO. Motion was not carried.
Councilman Marsden made a motion for the City to give Bowness
Service Station our contract for gas & oil and put in our own
eauipment. Councilman Laird seconded the motion. Councilmen
Marsden, Laird, Reid and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried
unanimously.

Councilman Marsden made a motion to accept Mr. Lamato's property-
if he would exclude the commercial property. Councilman Dodge
seconded the motion. Councilmen Dodge, r1arsden, Reid and Laird
voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.
A motion was made by Councilman Marsden to put
question of whether or not the voters in Ocoee
system. Councilman Reid seconded the motion.
Dodge, Marsden ~nd Laird voted YES. No no's.

Carried unanimously.
Councilman I~arsden made a motion, on the ~ayor's Reccomendation,
to hire Ray Enfinger as full time polj_ceman of the City of Ocoee.
Councilman Reid seconded the motion. Councilmen Dodge, Reid,
Marsden and Laird voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimou~ly.

Councilman Marsden made a motion to 1ssue free building permits
to anyone building a fallout shelter Droviding they present a
blue print to the City Council and it passes the Civil Defense
inspection. Councilman Reid seconded the motion. Councilmen
Marsden, Reid, Dod~e and Laird voted YES. No no's. Carried
unanimously.
There being no futher business Councilman Marsden made a motion to
recess this meeting. Councilman Reid seconded the motion. There-
upon Council recessed at 12:00 A.M.
