MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ~lliETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
JUNE 19, 1962
Present: Councilmen: Reid, Freeman, Marsden and Dodge

Absent: Councilman Wilson
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Reid at $:00 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held May 15, 1962 and the
special meeting held ~~y 25, 1962 were read and approved.

Councilman Marsden made a motion that Council approve the following
bills. Councilmen Freeman seconded the motion. Councilman
Marsden, Freeijlan and Dodge voted YES. No no~:~s. Carried
unanimously.

Councilman Freeman made a motion to extend the time for the people
to move their fences until September 1, 1962. Councilman ~~rsden
seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Marsden and Dodge
voted YES. no no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Freeman made a motion to accept the 1962 tax roll.
Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman,
Marsden and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.

Councilman Freeman made a motion to give Dr. Scribner of the
Orange County Health Department permissin to use~the Chamber
of Commerce office for the vacination of dogs. Councilman
Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, ~fursden and
Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Freeman made a motion to annex the following
described property into the City of Ocoee:
The West 1027 ft of the SW~ of the NW~ of Section 16, Town
ship 22 South, Range 28 East (Less: Begin 233 ft N 0000' 54" W
of the SW corner of the NW~ of said section 16 run vhence N
0000' 54" w 467 ft, thence N 890 59' 06" E 467 ft, thence 500
00' 54" E 467 ft., thence S 890 59' 06" w 467 ft, to the point of
beginning) Also subject to R/W for road over the South 40 ft and the
west 30 ft thereof, also the west ~ of the mv~ of the NW~ of
Section 16 Township 2?, South, Range 28 East less the following
described parcel: From the mv corner of said Section 16, run East
683.4 ft thence S 00 08' E 443.79 ft for a point of beginning I
run thence S 0" 08' E 543 ft., thence S 890 27 ' VI 17 ft, thence
N 00 48 ' vi 543.25 ft thence N 890 27' E 23.17 ft to the point
of beginning. Also less the East 23.17 ft of the North 443.79 ft
of the Wfl~ of the ~~v~ of the NW~ of Section 16, Township 22 South,
Range 28 East. and to accept the proposed plat presented by James
E. Russell, Jr. providing it meets all City regulations. Council-
man Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Marsden and
Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Freeman made a motion to leave Councilman Dodge in
charge of maintaining the Little League Ballfield. Councilman
Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Marsden and
Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to appropriate $250.00 for a
lifeguard for the Lake Front for the summer and have Mayor
Raymond G. Howell in charge of obtaining someone for the job.
Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Freeman
and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to have our City Attorney Spencer
C. Cross draw up an ordinance to charge $5.00 for a permit to
erect a fence. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen
Marsden, Dodge and Freeman voted YES. no no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to pay the Workmen's Compensation
Insurance in the amount of $1,431.64. Councilman Dodge seconded
the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Freeman and Dodge voted YES.
No no's. Carried unanimously.

There being no further business Councilman Marsden made a motion
to adjourn this meeting. Councilman Freeman seconded the motion.
Thereupon Council adjourned at 10:25 P.M.
