HomeMy WebLinkAbout07-17-1962 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD JULY 17, 1962 Present: Councilman: Reid, Freeman, Marsden and Wilson Mayor Howell Absent: Councilman: Dodge The meeting was called to order by Councilman Reid at 8:00 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting held July 3, 1962 were read and approved. 1 Councilman Marsden made a motion that Council approve the following bills. Councilman Wilson seconded the motion. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Marsden and Wilson vcted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Freeman made a motion to drop the raises from the garbage department unless all departments were raised. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilman Freeman and Marsden voted YES. Councilman Wilson voted NO. Carried. Councilman Marsden made a motion not to lend any more money to any of the City Employees in the future. Councilman Freeman seconded the motion. Councilman Freeman, Marsden and Wilson voted YES. Carried unanimously. Councilman Freeman made a motion to ~ssue building')permi ts to Hayward Hays and Douglas Hubacek. Councilman ~~rsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Marsden and Wilson voted YES. NO no's. Carried unanimously. I Councilman Freeman made a motion to purchase 2 sets of diving ~eguipment from Holly's Sporting Goods, Orlando, Fla. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, r~rsden and Councilman Wilson voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Marsden made a motion to transfer $200.00 from the Emergency Fund to the General Fund to help pay for' the diving equipment. Councilman Freeman seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Marsden and \'lilson voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Marsden made a motion to give Councilman Freeman permission to erect a sign on the lake for Labor Day. Council- man Wilson seconded the motion. Councilmen, Marsden, Wilson and Freeman voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. ., , Councilman Marsden made a motion to adopt ordinance No. 424 being an ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, regulating the bathing or swimming in any lake within the limits of the City of Ocoee between the hours of 9:00 P.M. in the evenings and 7:00 A.M. in the mornings: providing apenalty for violation. Councilman Freeman seconded the motion. ~ouncilmen Wilson, Councilman Freeman and Councilman Marsden voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Marsden made a motion to give Mayor Raymond Howell permission to work in the City Hall during the Clerk's vacation. Councilman Freeman seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Marsden and Wilson voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. There being no ~urther business Councilman Marsden made a motion to adjourn this meeting.
