Mayor Howell Absent: Councilmen: Marsden I The meeting was called to order by Councilman Reid at 8:00 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting held August 7, 1962 were read and approved. Councilman Freeman made a motion that Council approve the following bills. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Voted and Carried. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen Wilson, Freeman and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Counilman Freeman made a motion to accept all responsibility for the Ocoee Sign at Minorville. Councilman vvilson seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman Wilson, and Dodge voted YES. No no"s. Carried unanimously. I Councilman Wilson made a motion to accept the Ocoee City I,Tap from the Chamber of Commerce and have it printed. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Dodge and Wilson voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Counilman Freeman made a motion to accept'the plat of Brent- vlOod Heights presented to the City Council by ~}:r. Jimmy Russell. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman and Dodge voted YES. Councilman Wilson voted NO. ~~tion was carried. Councilman Dodge made a motion to have Sam Oliver reimburse the Citv for one week of his vacation. Councilman Wilson seconded the motion. Councilmen Dodge and vJilson voted YES. Councilman Freeman voted NO. r;Iotion was carried. Councilman Freeman niade amotion to adopt Ordinance /1427 being or ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, relating to the erection building, construction. maintaining of fences, walls or other similar structunes upon any lot, piece or parcel of land within the City limites of the City of Ocoeej providing a penalty for vio- lation. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Dodge and Wilson voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. There being no further business Councilman Freeman made amotion to recess this meeting. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Thereupon Council recessed at 9:35 P.M. Councilman Marsden made a motion to reduce J. O. Haynes, Jr. taxes from $4,300.00 to ;t;3, 700.00. Councilman Wilson seconded the motion. Councilmen l\Iarsden. Wilson and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman ~ilson made a ffiotion to rersso~~ all taxes to one-third of the County assessment. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Councilmen Wilson, and Dodge voted YES. Councilman, Marsden voted' No. Motion was carried. I Councilman Uilson made a motion to strike the ~j33. 00 increase from Jack Nash's taxes. Councilman Dodge seconded the motion. Council- men \'Jilson, Marsden and Dodge voted YES. No no's. Carried unanimously. Councilman Marsden made a motion to let all vacant lots stay as they are now assessed.
