MINUTES OF THE RAGU1AR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
DECEMBER 18, 1962
Present: Councilmen: Freeman, Marsden, Pounds, Reid and Hazellief
Mayor Howell
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Marsdeh at 8:00 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held December 4, 1962 were
read and approved. The meeting then was turned over to the President
Councilman Reid.

Councilman Marsden made a motion that Council approve the following
bills. Councilman Freeman seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

Councilman Pounds made a motion to buy a Ford Tractor from
Hood Tractor Company, Orlando, Fla. for $4,600.00 including
trade-in. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Councilmen
Pounds, Marsden, Freeman and Hazellief voted YES. No no's.
Carried unanimously.
Councilman Pounds made a motinn to pay Simpson Motors for the
1963 Police car. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion.
Councilmen Pounds, Marsden, Freeman and Hazellief voted YES.
No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman TIIarsden made a motion to pay $1,600.00 on the tractor
from the General Fund and borrow the balance of $3,000.00 from
the Bank of West Orange. Councilman Freeman seconded the motion.
Councilmen ~~rsden, Freeman, Pounds and Hazellief voted YES.

Councilma~'Marsden seconded themotion. Voted and carried.
Councilman Freeman made a motion to retire $3,000.00 of Ocoee Refunding'
Bonds. Councilman Marsden'seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman,
Marsden, Hazellief and Pounds voted YES. No no's. Carried
unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to draw a resolution to borrow
$3,000.00 from the Bank of ~vest Orange. Councilman Pounds
seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, ~~rsden, Pounds and
Hazellief voted YES. No nOis. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Freeman made a motion to buy 3 more strings of ehristmas
lights for the South end of town. Councilman Marsden seconded the
motion. Councilmen Freeman, Marsden, Hazellief and Pounds voted
YES. No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to give the Florida Power Corp.
authority to install 6 new street lights, 20,000 lumen, on the
new extension of the Silver Star Road by the Shopping Center.
Councilman Pounds seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Pounds,
Hazellief and Freeman voted YES. No no's: Carried unanimously.
Councilman Freeman made a motion to give all City employees $10.00
for Christmas. Councilman Marsden seconded the motio. Councilmen
Freeman, ~IDrsden, Hazellief and Pounds voted YES. No no's.
Carried unanimously.

Councilman Freeman made a motion to give all City Employees Dec.
24, and 25th, 1962 off. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion.
Councilmen Freeman, Marsden, Hazellief and Pounds, voted YES.
No no's. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to give Fire Chief James Vandergrift
permission to buy a new set of tires for the rescue truck. Council-
man Freeman seconded the motion. Councilmen Freeman, Marsden,
Pounds and Hazellief voted YES. No nos. Carried unanimously.
There being no futher business Councilman ~IDrsden made a motion
to adjourn this meeting. Councilman Freeman seconded the motion.
Thereupon Council adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
