MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
NOVEMBER 19, 1963
Present: Councilmen: Pounds, Marsden, Reid, Bracewell, Miller
Mayor Howell
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Reid at $:00 P.M.
The minxes of the last regular meeting held November 5, 196),
the special meetings held November 6, 1963, November 7, 1963,
November 15, 196) and November 16, 1963 were read and approved.
Councilman Pounds made a motion that Council approve the follo~dng
bills. Councilman Marsden seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

Chairman of Council then appointed the following as Chairman
and vice-chairman of the various departments:
Councilman Pounds as chairman of Fire Department, Building Inspector,
and maintenance of buildings, Councilman Marsden as vice-chairman.
Councilman Bracewell as chairman of Water Department and Councilman
Pounds as vice-chairman.
Councilman Miller as chairman of Street Department and Councilman
Bracewell and vice-chairman.
Councilman I~rsden as chairman of Sanitation Department and Council-
man Miller as vice-chairman.
Councilman Marsden, Bracewell and ~liller were appointed in charge
of purchasing equipment..
The entire Council were appointed in charge of zoning.
Councilman Bracawell made a motion to rehire all City employees aj;,:
their same wages until the next regular meeting, December 3, 1963.
Councilman ~liller seconded the motion. Councilmen Bracewell,
Miller, Pounds and ~rsden voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Marsden made a motion to authorize Mid-Florida Gas Co.
to install Gas heat in the Ocoee Youth and Recreation Center.
Councilman Miller seconded the motion. Councilmen Marsden, Pounds,
Miller and Bracewell voted YES. NO NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Bracewell made a motion to repeal Ordinance #446 being
an Ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, fixing the rate of com-
pensation for the Councilmen and Mayor of said City. CoUncilman
Miller seconded the motion. Councilmen Bracewell, ~tiller and Reid
voted YES. Councilmen Pounds and ~mrsden voted NO. Motion was
,carried. City attorney Spencer C. Cross was instructed to draw
an ordinance repealing Ordinance #446.
