MINUTES OF THE REGUL4R MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
FEBRU!\RY 2, 1965
Present: Counciwoman Hager; Councilman: Pounds, Patterson
Miller and Bracewell
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Councilwoman Hager at 8:09 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held January 19, 1965 and
the special meetjng held January 26, 1965 were read and approved.

Councilman Pounds made a motion that Council approve the following
bills. Councilman Miller seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

The Clerk was instructed to write a letter to Commissioner Cliff
Freeman asking him to do whatever he deems necessary to contact
General Betts to see if he can get a title to the two jeeps owned
by Jack ~~arsden and Delma Fields.
Jack Marsden and Delma Fields agreed to take $200.00 for their
jeeps and turn back over to the City, if a title cannot be obtained.
Councilman Miller was appointed to attend the County Commissioner
meeting to report to them our road perference in Ocoee for 1965.
Mayor Howell reported to the Council that he had received a letter
from the Fresh Fish and Game Commission to the effect that they
are not planting Striped bass in any lakes at this time, but
if at any later date they do the Lakes in Ocoee will be con-
sidered.
Councilman Patterson made a motion to raise the Clerk's Salary
$40.00 permonth and to discontinue paying the $1.00 for each
court ticket. Councilman Pounds seconded the motion. Council-
men Pounds, Patterson, and Miller voted YES. Councilman
Bracewell refrained from voting. Motion was carried.

Councilman Miller made a motion to pay the outstanding bill
owed to Spencer C. Cross, City Attorney in the amount of
$1,200.00. Councilman Pounds seconded the motion. Council-
men Patterson, Pounds, Miller and Bracewell voted YES. No
NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Miller was to check with the people living on
Franklin Street to see if they would be will to help pay
for this s:.reet being paved.
CQuncilman TI'liller made a motion to appoint the Chairman of
Council to be the Clerk's supervisor. Councilman Pounds
seconded the motion. Councilmen Patterson, Pounds, rtiller
and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.

Councilman Patterson volunteered to contact several Office
Supply Companies to bring out an addressograph machine to
show to the Council at the next meeting to be held February
16, 1965. .

Councilman Patterson made a motion to authorize Florida
Power Corp. to install a light on Palm Drive behind the
Shopping Center. Councilman Pounds seconded the motion.
Councilmen Patterson, Pounds, Miller and Bracewell voted
YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Patterson made a motion to purchase the necessary
pipe to finish putting pipe in Brentwood up to Center Street.
Councilman Pounds seconded the motion. Councilmen Patterson,
Pounds, Miller and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried
unanimously.
Councilman Pounds was to see about having some new City maps
printed.
There being no further business Councilman Miller made a motion
that Council adjourn at this time. Councilman Pounds seconded
the motion. Thererupon Council adjourned at 10:35 p.m.
