IclINUTES OF THE REGUL AR I'fiEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORID4 HELD
rJIi\RCH 2, 1965
Present: Councilwoman Hager, Councilmen Pounds, Patterson,
Mayor: Howell Miller & Bracewell
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Councilwoman Hager at $:ID5 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held February 16, 1965 were
read and approved.
Councilman Miller made a motion that Council approve the following
bills. Councilman Pounds seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

Lerov Turner and Fred Daughtry were present at the meeting
to discuss the duties and the activities of the Police
Reserve.
Councilman Patterson made a motion to authorize Leroy Turner
to be in charge of the Reserve Police and take whatever
actions he deems necessarv. Councilman Pounds seconded
the motion. Councilmen Patterson, Pounds, Miller and Brace-
well voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Patterson made a motion that the City buy bonds
for the Police Reserve to protect ~he Gi ty reiarding any liability in thE
reffine. Councilman Pounds seconded the motion. Councilmen
Patterson, Pounds, Miller and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S.
Carried unanimously.

Councilman r.:iller made a motion to write Vrr. J. D. Dollar of the
State Road Department asking for a school crossing at the inter-
section of Silver Star Road and Bluford Avenue. Councilman
Patterson seconded the motion. Councilmen Patterson, Pounds,
Miller and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
The Clerk was instructed by the Council to refund Jack Marsden
$200.00 for his jeep and that the jeep will be delivered to the
City Barn.
Mayor Howell reported to the City Council that the OcoeeCemetery
had been surveyed and platted.

Councilman Pounds made a motion to raise the price of the lots
in the new part of the Cemetery to $50.00 for each lot and
$200.00 for a family plot of 4 lots and $400.00 for a family
plot of 8 lots. Councilman Patterson seconded the motioh.
Councilmen Patterson, Pounds, ~liller and Bracewell voted YES.
No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Councilman Pounds made a motion to purchase a mailing permit
and have the stamps printed on the post cards., for water bills.
Councilman lliller seconded the motion. Councilman Patterson,
Pounds, Miller and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried
unanimously.
Councilman l.:iller made a motion to let 1-1r's. Pearl Tucker pay
her paving assessment $10.00 per month. Councilman Bracewell
seconded the motion. Councilmen I.:iller, Patterson, Pounds,
and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
The City Council instructed the Clerk to type up a work schedule
for the City Employees to be posted in the City Barn.
Councilman Miller made a motion to authorize Florida Power Corp.
to make a snrvey of the necessary street lights needed in Brent- I
wood and present it to the City Council. Councilman Patterson
seconded the motion. Councilmen Patterson, Pounds, ~liller and
Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
There being no further business Councilman ~tiller made a motion
to adjourn this meeting. Councilman Pounds sec0nded the motion.
Thereupon Council adjourned at 11:)0 P.M.
