I tJ../~'" 7' J Jttl'1 J/' I 6/7 CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA ',I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, RELATING TO MOBILE HOMES: PROVIDING FOR MINIMUM BLOCKING STANDARDS: PROVIDING FOR MINIMUM GROUND ANCHOR STANDARDS: PROVIDING FOR MINIMUM TIE DOWN STANDARDS: PROVIDING RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MOBILE HOME OWNERS: PROVIDING FOR TIME LIMITATIONS: PROVIDING FOR MOBILE HOMES THAT WILL NOT BE IN THE CITY OF OCOEE MORE THAN 15 DAYS: PROVIDING FOR WHO WILL MAKE THE INSPECTIONS: PROVIDING FOR ESTABLISHING OF INSPECTION FEES: PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES: PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CITY COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA: SECTION ONE: Every Mobile Home within the corporate limits of the City of Ocoee which shall be used as a residence shall within nine (9) months of the effective date of this ordinance be inspected for compliance with minimum blocking, gEound anchor and tie-down standards set forth in the Rule of Division of Motor Vehicles, Chapter l5C-l.lO, dated 24 January 75 and for compliance with the laws of the State of Florida~ Chapter 73-182, Section 320.8325. SECTION TWO: It is the responsibility of the Mobile Home Owner to obtain a permit from the Building Department and to insure compliance with the inspection criteria of the Division of Motor Vehicles, Chapter l5C-l.lO and the laws of the State of Florida, Chapter 73-182, Section 320.8325. SECTION THREE: The enforcement of these provisions shall rest with the City of Ocoee Building Department. The Board of City Commissioners may from time to time establish such inspection fees as shall be necessary to defray the cost of all such enforcement and inspection. SECTION FOUR: The Building Department shall file notice to anyone in violation of the provisions of this ordinance, specifying the nature of the violation and necessary corrective action. SECTION FIVE: The provisions of this ordinance do not apply to Mobile Homes that will be in the City of Ocoee for 15 days or less. SECTION SIX: The City of Ocoee shall charge each Mobil Home Owner a fee of $15.00 for inspection for compliance with minimum blocking, ground anchor and tie-down standards. The inspection shall be accomplished by the City of Ocoee Building Inspector. SECTION SEVEN: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION EIGHT: It is declared to be the Board of City Commissioners,' intent that if any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or any part or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional, or is inconsistent with law, by any court or competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion hereof. SECTION NINE: Any person violating the provision of this ordinance shall be punished by fine not to exceed $500.00 or imprisonment not to exceed six (6) months. SECTION TEN: This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon becoming a law.
