rUNUTES OF THE REGULA.R MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNDIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA. HELD
APRIL 6, 1965

The rreeting was called to order by Councilwoman Hager at 8:12 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held March 16, 1965 and
the speci.al meeting held A.pril 3, 1965 were read and approved with
the insertion of the discri~tion of the property taken into the.
Citv of Ocoee in Ordinance d457 passed at the last regular meetlng.
Dis~ription as follows:
liThe existing Road Rights-of-Way from the North City Limit of
Ocoee via the Ocoee-Clarcona Road, Fullers Cross Road, the East
Crown Point Road and the Ocoee-Winter Garden Road to the West City
Limit of Ocoee, lying within 30 feet of either side of a Center
Line Survey described as follows: Begin at a point on the Ocoee-
Clarcona Road at the North City Limit of Ocoee, said point being
the Southeast Corner of Section 7, Township 22 South, Range 2$
East, run thence North 00-24' East 2865.0 feet to the East Quarter
Corner of said Section, thence North 00_11' East 2393.6 feet to the
Center Line of Fullers Cross Road, said point being the Northeast
Corner of said Section, then North 890_46' West 2562.8 feet to the
North Quarter Corner of said Section, thence South $90 -44' West
76$.8 feet to the Center Line of State Road No. 437, thence South
e90-~6' West 1124.8 feet to the beginning of a curve concave to the
Southerly and having a radius of 300.4 feet, thence along and to
the end of said curve 278.2 feet through a central angle of 530-04',
thence South 360_22' West 546.7 feet to the beginning of a curve
concave to the Easterly and having a radius of 216.4 feet, thence
along and to the end of said cuve 159.9 feet through a central angle
of 40-14', thence South 320-08' ~est 548.5 feet to the beginning
of a curve concave to the Easterly and having a radius of 1211.5
feet, thence along and to the end of said curve 298.5 feet throught
a central angle of 140-07', thence South 180-01' West 254.4 feet
to a Center line intersection w th the East Crown Point Road,
said point being the beginning of a curve concave to the Easterly
and having a radius of 1492.5 feet, thence along and to the end
of said curve 532.3 feet through a central an.gle of 200_26', thence
South 20-25' East 382.5 feet to the beginning of a curve concave
to the Westerly and having a radius of 1840.0 feet, thence along
and to tte end of said curve 457.6 feet through a central angle of
140-15', thence South 110-50' West 908.9 feet to the beginning
of a curve concave to the Easterly and having a radius of 980.2
feet, thence along and to the end of said curve 199.3 feet through
a central angle of 110-39', thence South 00_11' West 425.2 feet
to the beginning of a curve concave to the Easterly and having
a radius of 3715.6 feet, thenc along and to the end of said curve
199.9 feet through a central angle of 30-05', said point being the
beginning of a curve concave to the Westerly and having a radius
of 3818.8 feet, thence along and to the end of aaid Curve 199.9
feet through a central angle of 30-00', thence South 00-06' West
342.5 feet to the Center Line of the Crovm Point Cross Road, thence
South 00_06' \vest 1298.1 feet to the Center Line of the Ocoee-Crown
Point Road, thence South 00_06' West 1$35.1 feet to the Center
Line of the Ocoee Winter Garden Road, thence North $90-29' East
h69.9 feet to the West City Limit of Ocoee, said point being on the
West Line of Section 18, Township22 South, Range 2$ East, and the
existing Right-of-Way of State Road No. 437 from the North City
Limit of Ocoee to Fullers Cross Road, lying within 30 feet of eith
side of a Center Line Survey described as follows: Begin at a point
on State Road No. 437 at the North City Limit of Ocoee, said point
being 5.8 feet East of the South Quarter Corner of Section 7, TO\1TI-
ship 22 South, Range 28 East, run thence North 00_02' East 1228.6
feet, thence North 10_02' East 1219.4 feet to the beginning of a
curve concave to the Westerly and having a radius of 656.1 feet,
thence along and to the end of said curve 198.5 feet through a
central angle of 170-20', thence North 160-1$' West 2046.3 feet
to the beginning of a curve concave to the Easterly and having a
radius of 1051.4 feet, thencealong and to the end of said curve
199.4 feet through a central angle of 100-52', thence North 50_26'
Hest 454.1 feet to the Center Line of Fullers Cross Road."
Councilsan Pounds made a motion that Council approve the following
bills. Councilr.1an Eiller seconded the r.!otion. Voted and carried.

I,:a':or Ravmond G. Hovrell announced a special meeting to be held
April 13~ 1965 to disc~ss Florida Telephone Rates and a Natural
Gas Co.
Ula~'or Ho~vell reported to the City Council that the nevr part of I
the cemetery has been surveyed and marked off into lots.
Spencer C. Cross, City Attorney, was to contact Roy Godbold
to find out who has ownership of the Ocoee Cemetery.
~~yor Howell and Leroy Ttirner were to work out a temporary
arranger:',ent for 1,'wrking the school crossings at the School
house on South Bluford Avenue and the one at the intersection
of the Silver Star Road and Bluford Avenue.
Councilwoman Hager was to check on the s'chool guards at other
schools and find o~t who they were paid by.

Councilman Bracewell reported to the City Council that Percy
Goodman had been hired as an employee of the Sanitation Depart-
rent for two weeks on a temporary basis.
Councilman Patterson volunteered to have the mail drop box ~oved
frow the corner of Jay Street and Flewelling ^venue.
Spel1cer C, Cross, Cit;" l\ttorne;T, was instr.lcted by the Ci t~T
Council to draw an ordinance giving the City perr:lission to have
people clean up unsightly articles on their property.
The Clerk was instructed to send bills each month on any unpaid
bills due the City.
Delrr:a Fields was given permission to see if he could obtain a
title for his jeep.
The Ci t-- Council instructed the Clerk to inform the ne,'! owners
of the i=alt Shop that they \i'lOuld have to obtain a new license
for the Shop in their name.
Lero:" Turner was to contact James Nobles about his unpaid
occupational license for 1965, but was not present to report
whether he had done so or not.
~fter a discussion of the liability insurance for the Little
League Field the City Council decided that no liability in-
surance would be required by the City.
Councilrr:an Bracewell made a motion to authorize the Florida
PO-Her Corporation to install a 2000 lumen light at the Li ttle
League Field. Councilrnan Pounds seconded the motion. Council-
~en Patterson, Pounds, ~iller and Bracewell voted YES. No NOIS.
Carried unanimously.
Courciwoman Hager was to check on the prices of some new file
cabinets for the City Hall.
Councilman Pounds was to get a bid for a new door fOF the City
Hall.
Counciln'an Miller VlaS to see about having a ditch cleaned out
on the street east of Sid Reeves Service Station at the
request of Delma Fields.
City ~ttorney, Spencer C. Cross, was to contact Harold Maguire
about the $200.00 he owes the City for brick, and also contact
Leo Birdyshaw about coming into the City Limits.
Spencer C. Cross, City ~ttorney, presented plans to the City
Council fer an A. B. C. Liquor Store, for their approval.
Councilman Dracewell suggested that the garbage men be instructed
that no garbage dhould be picked up unless it is in a garbage
can. ~lso the Clerk should have a stamp made to be stamped
on the water bills. sa~ing: All Garbage Must Be In A Garbage
Container.
There being no further business Councilman ~iller ITiade a motion
that Council adjourn this meeting. Councilman Pounds seconded
the motion. Thereupon Council adjourned at 11:05 P.M.
