MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
JUNE 15, 1965
Present: Councilwoman Hager, Councilmen: Pounds, Patterson
Mayor: Howell and Miller

The meeting was called to order by Councilwoman Hager at $:15 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held June 1, 1965 were
read and approved.
Councilman Pounds made a motion that Council approve the following
bills. Councilman Miller seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

Councilman Patterson made a motion to allow the Ocoee Volunteer
Firemen 70,000 gallons each of free water each month. Their
Board of Directors are to control the use of the water. Council-
man Pounds seconded the motion. Councilmen Patterson, Pounds,
and Miller voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Mr. W. H. Wurst of W. H. Wurst Insurance Agency was asked to
submit a bid price at the next regular Council meeting on liability
insurance for the regular and reserve policemen.
Mr. Jack Voss and Mrs. Keith Flurry were present ot find out the
City's decision on opening the ramaining right-of-way of Lee
Street. Councilman Pounds suggested that the land be checked
to see if it is feasible to put a street on this property.
Councilman Miller was given permission to cut donw four palm trees
on Lakewood Avenue between McKey Street and Magnolia Street.
Mayor Howell reported that ~tr. fubbs, Ocoee High School Principal,
had contacted him about the City hiring a life guard for Starke
Lake for the summer. Mavor Howell was to contact Mr. Tubbs to see
if the school would be willing to help pay for a life guard.
Mayor Howell reported that Clifford Freeman, Orange Connty Comm-
issioner would like to meet with the City Council at a special
meeting.
Sam Oliver was to check to see what materials were needed to stop
the leak in the Little League building.
There being no further business Councilman Patterson made a motion
to adjourn this meeting. Councilman Pounds seconded the motion.
Thereupon Council adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
