The minutes of the last regular meeting held August 17, 1965 were read and approved with the correction on mition to pay Auxiliary Policeman ~200.00 to buy uniforms to read Councilmen Patterson and Pounds voting YES. Councilman Bracewell being ab- sent at this time. I Councilman POUnB made a mo.tion that Council approve the following bills. Councilman Miller seconded the motion. Voted and carried. Bank of West Orange Emergency Fund Florida State Boardof Health 55.34 58.63 10.84 1,276.50 200.00 50.00 Deputy Sheriff Hostutler was present to present The American National Red Cross Certificate of Merit to William (Bill) Peoples for saving the life of Jiwmy Russell. Emmett Warr requested permission to have a lot rezoned on which he wishes to erect and operate a painting and sandblasting business. It was decided that lf~. Dominic Ungaro should be consulted before a decision was made. Councilmen Pounds and Bracewell are to con- tact ~rr. Ungaro. Mervin Lee of Florida POi1er Corp. imformed the Council of a lower rate of utility tax now effective. The Council examined proposed lighting for Brentwood and accepted said plan. The Council se- lected three (3) r,lercury Vapor lights for Security I"Iobil Home Trailer Park. I IJ'Jrs. Mary Henry was present, representing Spring Lake Elementary School asking that a small corner adjoining the school and Spring Lake Circle be paved. She was to contact Spring: Lake Homes, Inc. as it is their land and the City could not pave it under these circumstances. ~~s. Henry also asked that a sidewalk be put on Spring Lake Circle to benefit the children attending Spring Lake Elementarv School. Councilman Bracewell made a motion to donate $500.00 f~om the Recreation Fund toward buiiliding a sidewalk. Councilman Pounds seconded the motion. Councilmen Pounds, Patterson, Miller and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously. Councilman Miller was to obtain bids for a sidewalk. l~s. Henry may obtain bids also. Ed Cox presented a bid on maintanence of two-way radios from Orlando Communications backed by ~lotorola. Clerk was instructed to check back one year on cost of maintanance of radios. ~rr. Wurst reported that policeman's liability for false arrest covering four (4.) regular and ten (10) reserve policemenl could be obtained for a minimQm premium of ~500.00 per year through Loyds of London. ~~. Wurst was to check with Shelby Insurance in Winter Park concerning their policies. I Councilman Patterson ad in the Ocoee High seconded the motion. Bracewell voted YES. made a motion that the City buy a regular School Yearbook.. Councilman Bracewell Councilmen Patterson, Pounds, Ivliller and No NO'S. Carried unanimously. Courrilman Pounds reported that theCity Hall sign would cost approximately $S5.00 and $25.00 for installation. The Council decided to contact ~rr. Cliff Freeman concerning the problem of the water from the Security Mobile Home Trailer Park flooding land owners acroos Clarcona Road. Roy Tanner was to be notified of a dog problem on Pine St. Councilwoman Hager asked Sam Oliver to put poles in the Chamber of Commerce room and hang the Little League Uniforms. rt,r. Oliver was also to put a lock on the switch box at the Little League Field. There being no further business Councilman Patterson made a motion to adjourn this meeting.
