HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-23-1966 I I I Councilman Pounds made amotion to adopt Ordinance No. 468 being an ordinance of the City of Ocoee declaring the intention of the City of Ocoee Florida to annex a certain tract of unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City o~ Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to-~rlt: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the Southwest * of the Northeast ~ o~ Section 19, Township 22 South, Range 28 East, running 1 thence West along the * Section line the distance of Sixteen Hundred Forty-six and Seven One-Hundredths (1,646.07) feet to a point; thence North parallel with the West right of way line of Kissimmee Avenue the distance o~ Eight Hundred Thirty (830.) feet; thence East, parallel With the said ~ Section Line to the West side of Kissimmee Avenue right of way; thence South along Kissimmee Avenue right of way to point of beginning. Councilman Miller seconded the motion. Councilmen Patterson, Pounds, Miller and BIacewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously. Councilman Pounds made a motion to adopt Ordinance No. 469 being an ordinance of the City of Ocoee declaring the intention of the City of Ocoee, Florida to annex a certain tract of unincorporated land lying contiguous to -the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and sit- uated in Orange County, Florida , to-wit: From the East t corner of Section 19, To\~ship 22 South, Ran~e 28 East run S 880 42' W along the north line of the SE 4 of said Section a distance of 448.52 feet to the centerline of the Orlando-Ocoee Road and the point of beginning; run thence S 250 39' E, alont said centerline of the Orlando-Ocoee Road a distance of 1034.25 feet to the east line of the SE ~ of said Section 19, thence S 00 02' 34" W, along said east line of the SE t, a dis- tance of 175.29 feet to the centerline of the A.C.L. Rail- road thence N 350 36' W, along the centerline of said A.C.L. Roailroad a distance of 864.46 feet to the P.C. of the curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 3481.06 feet; thence along the arc of said curve 470.50 feet to the north line of the SE t of said Section 19, thence N 880 42' E 301.42 feet to the point of begining. Councilman l-1iller seconded the motion. Councilmen Patterson, Pounds, Miller and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously. There being no further business Councilman Pounds made a motion to recess this meeting until Tuesday, August 23, 1966 at 8:00 P.M. Councilman Miller seconded the motion. Thereupon Council recessed at 11:15 P.r.~. Attest: 6?oL~ ~~ , Clerk MINUTES OF THE RECESSED MEETING OF THE CITY 'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD AUGUST 23, 1966 Present:"~Cduncilwoman Hager; Councilmen Patterson, Pounds, IV'layor Howell ~-liller & Brace\f..e 11 Absent: None The recessed meeting was called to order by Councilman Hager at 8:20 p.m. The purpose of the meeting was to go over the 1966 tax roll and assess new homes and additions. Scotty Vandergrift, representing the Ocoee JayCees, as per- mission from the City Council to use the lake front for thier Labor Day Festivities, September 5, 1966. Permission was given for this event. The Mayor,; Raymond G. Howell recommended the the City Council employ Mrs. Grover Smith, for the school guard at Spring Lake School at the same salary as Mrs. Will was receiving, $80.00 per month. I I I Councilman Miller made a motion that the City having made an application for construction grant for a sewage treatment plant under PUblic Law 660 and in order to obtain the money that the City will comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Acts bf 1964. Councilman Pounds seconded the motion. Councilmen Patterson, Pounds ~liller and Bracewell voted YES. NO NO'S. Carried unanimously. There being no further business Councilman Pounds made a motion to adjourn this meeting. Conncilman Miller seconded the motion. Thereupon Council adjourned at 10:10 P.M. Attest~ ~.~ /
