MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
SEPTEMBER 6, 1966
Present: Councilwoman Hager; Councilmen: Patterson, Pounds,
Miller & Bracewell
Absent: Mayor Howell
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Pounds at 8:20 P.N.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held August 16, 1966,', -the
recessed meeting held August 23, 1966 and the recessed meeting
held August 25, 1966 were read and approved.
Councilman Bracewell made a motion that the Council approve the
following bills: Councilman Miller seconded the motion. Voted
and carried.

Councilman Bracewell made a motion to postpone the hearing on
Mr. A. H. ~~lcolm's assessment increase until the next regular
meeting, September 20, 1966 so that he may be present. Council-
man Patterson seconded the motion. Councilmen Patterson, 1vtiller
and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Mr. Edward Tudor was present conserning his taxes. He stated
the County had made an error in his assessment and had lowered
it. The City Council lowered his City assessment from $3,300.00
to $3,100.00.

Herman Smith and Bobby Sasser presented to tre City COunCll plans
for a church ot be built on Wurst Road just East of Peach Lake
~~anor. The Council asked that' they draw up more detailed plans
before a decision was made and a permit issued.
~~. William Stinnett, Ocoee Electrical Inspector, discussed with
the Council some of the important parts of the Orange County
Electrical Code. He was informed by the Council to follow the
Code and not to make any exceptions for anyone person. Council-
man 1v1iller made a motion to write all contractors in Orange
County as specified by ~tr. Stinnett, informing them of the
Councils actions. Councilman Patterson seconded the motion.
Councilmen Patterson, ~iller and Bracewell voted YES. No NO'S
Carried unanimously.
Leroy Turner discussed with the Council about the Ocoee Patrolmen
wanting more money and better working conditions and hours. No
decision was made.
Councilwoman Hager recommended that the Ordinance #448 be revised
to include requiring the person installing the conduits, pipes
and etc.,~torreplace the streets in the same condition as they
were before.

Councilman Hager discussed with the 'Council about everyone
submitting plans to the Council before a permit was issued for
an:r new building or additions were built. '
Councilwoman Hager asked that a letter be \'lI'i ttem protesting the
withdrawal of the reouest for a light at Minorville by the Orange
County Commissioners:
The Police report for August, 1966 was presented to the 60uncil
hy Councilwoman Hager, Mayor, ProTem.
Councilman Patterson stated that a football team was being organized
in Ocoee for 7th and 8th graders and asked permission for them to
practive on the Little League Field. This" permission was given.
There being no further business Councilman 1v1iller made a motion
to adjourn this meeting. Councilman Patterson seconded the motion.
Thereupon Council adjourned at 11:20 P.M.
