MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
MARCH 7,. 1967
Present: Councilwoman H~ger, Councilmen: Hamby, Reese, Miller & Marsden
Mayor Howell
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Councilman Marsden at 7:10 P.M.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held February 21, 1967 were
read and approved.
Councilman Miller made a motion that Council approve all bills in
order. Councilman Reese seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

Louis Robbe, of the Ocoee JayCees, presented a copy of the
Rules and Regulations of the Teen Council Dances at the Youth
Center to be approved by the City Council. A copy of these
attached to these minutes.
Permission was given to the Teen Council to erect a thermometer
to mark sales of the candy bars being sold by the Teen Council.
Councilman Reese made a motion to give Wilmer Spice a permit
to build a garage and storage room on the rear of his prpperty
providing he stay within the specifications on Peach Lake Manor
Unit 4. Councilman Hamby seconded the motion. Councilmen Hamby,
Reese, Miller and Hager voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Councilwoman Hager made a motion that each time a water oonn-
ection has to be turned off for non-payment a $J.OO charge will
be made and if the meter has to be disconnected there will be a
$5.00 charge for th~ reconnection. Councilman Hamby seconded
the motion. Councilmen Hager, Miller, Reese and Hamby voted
YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.

Councilwoman Hager made a motion that an estimate will be made on
anyone's water bill that has a dog inside their fence and also
have the meter fenced in on the easement and an extra charge of
$3.00 will be made for a special reading on the meter until such
time the dog or fence is removed so that the meter can be read
at the-regular time. Councilman Hamby seconded the motion.
Councilmen Hager, Hamby, Miller and Reese voted YES. No NO's
Carried unanimously.
Mayor Raymond G. Howell reported that the Airport committees
trooin 'Ocoee, Winter Garden and Apopka would have a meeting at
the Ocoee City Hall, Tuesday, March 14, 1967.
Mayor Raymond G. Howell that the Counci] set a curfew for Ocoee,
to try to eliminate some of the young"people being on the streets
late at night. After a discussion the Council suggested that the
Police enforce our lottering ordinance.
Councilwoman Hager discussed with the Council the four locations
the engineers suggested for the elevated water tank: (1) the
present site of Well #1, (2) the triangel on Kissimmee Ave., (J)
in the industrial park, and (4) the City's property on Maguire
Road.

Our attorney, Mr. Ben Griffin, was to contact Mr. Wagner.,of
Leedy, Wheeler and Alleman, our fiscal agent conserning the
money for the tank.
Councilman Hamby made a motion to install a 2 inch plastic water
line to the Pentalcostal Holiness Church of Jesus Christ on
Wurst Road. They are to pay $585.00 for the line at $10.00
per month, plus a additional $100.00 connection fee at the time
of installation. Councilman Hager seconded the motion. Council-
men Hamby, Hager, Miller and Reese votdd Yes. NO NO'S. Carried
unanimously. Councilwoman Hager asked that a contract be drawn
between the church and the City concerning the amount to be paid
for the line and the rate of montliy payments, but was advised by
our City attorney that this was not necessary.
The Clerk was instructed to make a current list of the delinquent
taxes for out city attorney. I
Councilman Miller made a motion to accept the plat submitted to
the City Council by Cliff Freeman of the First Addition to Security
Mobile Home Trailer Park. Councilman ReE~se seconded the motion.
Councilmen Miller, Reese, "Hager and Hamby voted YES. No NO'S.
Carried unanimously.
There being no further business Councilman Miller made a motion
to adjourn this meeting. Councilwoman Hager seconded the motion.
Thereupon Council adjourned at 9:05 P.M.
