SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OCOEE, FLORIDA
HELD: 4/4/68
PRESENT: Comm. Hamby, Hager, Reese, Vandergrift and Mayor Minor

Special meeting called to order by Mayor Minor at 8:00 P. M.
John Wilburn and ~~. Palvisak, owners of Lake Shore Trailer Park, came before
the Council and stated that, he and V,r. Palvisak would like to know if the building
permit issued in ~AY 1966, for 15 trailer spaces was valid or invalid. They have
a buyer for this property and have consulted with the State Health Department in
regards to using the land between the street and lake for trailer spaces. The
State Health Department informed them, that no septic tanks would be used in this area
and if they built trailer spaces on this property, they would have to have city
sewerage or their own sewerage disposal. One of the buyers stated he would not
put any trailer spaces in now, and would abide by the Health Department and the City of
Ocoe's right to build. They stated that in order to sell the property they would
need extra trailer spaces and as they owned the land below the road and to the lake
they would like to use this property for trailer spaces. Comm. Hager stated she
would like to see the city purchase this property. Hr. Palvisak ask $15,000.00
for the property. Comm. Hager stated she did not think it advisable to act too
hastily, even though it is a time element for the buyers.
Comm. Hamby motioned to table this discussion until April 16th, regualr meeting, I
in order to give the council time to review and aske the property owners adjacent
to trailer park their opIDnion. Comm. Reese seconded the motion. No No's
Motion carried.
Nr. Fritz with Micheal Engineering was out and the council went over the letter
that is to be mailed to all free holders and electors April 15th.
Comm. Hamby motioned all registered electors and free-holders be eligible to
vote on the referendum May 7th. Comm. Reese seconded motion. No No's
Motion carried.
There being no further business. Comm. Reeese motioned Special Meeting of the
Council adjourn. Comm. Hamby seconded motion. Thereupon Special Meeting
adjourned at 10:45 P.M.
