Hamby, Reese, Vandergrift and Mayor Minor ABSENT: Corrm. Hager. Meeting called to order by Yayor Minor at 7:13 P. M. Yunutes of last regular meeting and special meeting read and approved. Comm. He stated the center had 5 days a week open and would appreciate the city recommending this center for special meetings to anyone desiring a place to meet. The cost for rental will be $4.00 without kitchen and $7.00 with kitchen priviledges. Bobby Sasser, Minister Penecontal Church on Wurst Road, brought plans for a Sunday School room addition ~ the existing church building. 1 Comm. Reese motioned city issue perrrQt to Mr. Sasser, provided schedule of electric wiring be furnished. Comm. Vandergrift seconded. No No's. Motion carried. I I 1 Hr. Hubert Fox, Chairman Bldg. Fund for Youth Center was present at council. He recommended the city take care of janitor service and Lions Club allow the teenagers to have dance without paying rent, also, the city furnish two policemen for the dances. Comm. Vandergrift motioned the city pay policemen, give the use of center and pay janitoral service. Comm. Hamby seconded. No No's. Motion carried. Comm. Reese reported new truck for street department had been delivered and was being equiped with metal sides at Reeves Garage. Comm. Reese gave bids for resurfacing streets as follows: Orlando Paving Co Southern Paving Co .491f, per sq. yd. . 60 If, " If " He stated he had accepted the bid from Orlando Paving Company. Comm. Hamby reported on bids for resucitator for fire department as follows: Central Fire Truck Corp. Jacke Cocke & Co $525.00 484.65 Comm. Vandergrift motioned the city purchase resucitator from Jack Cocke & Co., in the amount of $484.65. Comm. Hamby seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried. Corrm. Hamby reported the contractor for rebuilding the city dock had backed out, Council tabled discussion until next meeting. Comm. Reese motioned the city accept the Ordinance for Plumbing as follows: "AN ORDINANCE ADiDPTING THE SOUTHERN STANDARD PLUMBING CODE AND ALL AMENDNENTS THERETO." This ordinance is enacted to adopt by referenc~all of the provision of the Standard Plumbing Code as amended and any and all future changes in said code and amendmEnts thereto and is hereby Ordained, that all rules, regulations and require- ments of said code shall be fully enforceable in the City of Ocoee by virtue of this oddinance. THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE NO~rnER 1ST, 1968. Special meeting of the council called for Thursday night at 7:00 P. M. to review voters regfisteration. There being no further business.
