Comm. Vandergrift motioned all bills in order be paid. Comm. Reese seconded motion
No No's. Motion carried.
Comm. Hager reported she had talked with Mr. Smedley, with Smedley Publishers, in
reference to city maps. There was a misunderstanding about the price of these maps.
Mr. Smedley quoted 1315 each and their salesman quoted 15.5 each. Mr. SmedleT
stated he would split the difference and the maps would cost 14.5~ each. Bank of
West Orange to PaT $300.00 for use ot baDk advertising on .aid maps.

Comm. HaJnbT reported one dispatcher had quit his job and another man had been hired.
Comm. Hager stated there was one issue she wanted made clear betore her te~ as
comm. expired. This involved a statement made during the 1968 campaign tor City
Comm. to the effect that she would have received a kickback in the amount of
$10,??oo.00 had the' referendum for sewage' passed. She directed this question to
Comm. Reese. COIIIIIl. Reese replied. ha had not made any such allegation. Comm.
Hager accepted his word, but stated she wanted to leave office with a clean record
and wanted it known that she had never received any moneT nor girts as bribe, pay-off or t0~\s~~i
consideration, while serving the city as commissioner.
Mayor Minor expresaed. his thanks to Comm. Hager and HambT for a good job and that
they will be missed.
Comm. Hager stated she had enjoyed working with the Council, even with all its
frustrations.

Mayor Minor reported. the Grand Opening for. the Ramada Inn would be Dec. 5th, at 9:30 A.M.
and that Comm. Hager and Hamby would receive an invitation to this opening, even though
theT were no longer on the council.
There being no further business Comm. Vandergrift motioned. council adjoum. Comm.
Hager seconded motion. Thereupon meetin e council adjourned at 10:30 P.M.

PRESENT: Comm. Vandergrift, Reese, Miller, Stinett and Mayor Minor

Special meeting called to order bT Mayor Minor at 10;40 P. M.
At this time Mayor Minor administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected Commissioners
Stinaett, Reese and Miller.
MaTor Minor recommended the city PaT the city election oft1cers $1.60 per hour for 14 hours.
Comm'. Miller motioned to accept the Mayor's recommendation and pa)" the $1.60 per hour.
Comm. Reese seconded the motion. No No'8. Motion carried.
Mayor Minor entertained motion we rece8S meeting until Thursdq Night, November 7th
at 8:00 P. M.
