MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
CITY OF OCOEE, OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD:
NOVEMBER 19, 1968
PRESENT: Comm. Reese, Vandergrift, Stinnett, Miller and Mayor Minor
ABSENT: None
Meeting called to order by Mayor Minor at 7: 10 P. M.
Minutes of recessed meeting read and approved.
Milton Bevis attorney for Ramada Inn and their representative Mr. James McWhorter
also representative from Apopka Natural Gas Co. was present at council to ask the
Council to allow Apopka Natural Gas Co. a franchise in the city, in order that the
Ramada Inn might be served. The Council was advised that the city would receive
6% of all revenue collected within the city limits..
Comm. Reese motioned the City of Ocoee go on record as approving a granting of a
franchise to Apopka Natural Gas Co., subject to City Attorney Hamlin draWing up
appropriate ordinance and agreement. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. No no's.
Motion carried.
Comm. Miller motioned all bills in order be paid. Comm. Reese seconded the
motion. No No's. Motion carried.

Atty. Hamlin reported the City Tax Roll for 1968 had been excepted by Fred O.
Dickerson, Tallahassee, also personal property tax.
Cit Commissioners agreed to send Atty. Hamlin to Tallahassee, to attend the Tax
Assessors Seminar.
Comm. Vandergrift motioned the city accept personal property tax roll. Comm. Miller
seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried.
Comn. Vandergrift motioned the city put the ~s. Lightening Decorations around
Starke Lake instead of Silver Star Road and Bluford Avenue. Motion died for lack
of second.
Comm. Miller motioned the Xmas Lights be placed on Silver Star Road and Bluford Avenue.
Comm. Reese seconded. Comm. Stinnett, Reese, Miller and Mayor Minor votedcyes.
Comm. Vandergrift voted no. Motion carried.
Mayor Minor entertained motion to appoint Comm. Reese, Vice~yor.
Comm. Miller motioned to appoint Comm. Reese Vice-Mayor, upon the Mayor's recom-
mendation. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried.
