Meeting called to order by Mayor Minor at 7:17 P. M.
Cornm. Vandergrift motioned to disperse with reading of" the minutes. Corom. Miller
seconded. No No's. J.10tion Carried.
Comm. Vandergrift motioned all bills in order be paid. Comm. Miller seconded
the motion. No No's. Motion carried.

Mr. Wolson, Manager of Bay Hill Club, appeared before council and ask for fire
protection for the Bay Hill Country Club area. Request postponed until next council
meeting. Atty. Hamlin to check into same.
W. H. Wurst spoke before the council regarding permanent disability insurance plan for
volunteer friemen. A'lO year plan would cost $545.60. This would pay $50.00 per week
medical coverage for a total of $262.80. $5,000.00 accidental death coverage. Firemen
covered on way to fire.
Comm. Stinnett motioned the city get the 10 year plan for Fireman Insurance. Comm.
Reese seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried.
Mr. McQuillen from Florida Telephone Corp. and Mr. Turner with Archie Davis Inc.,
appeared before the council and explained the duct line and man holes to carry
telephone cable to be installed in the city.
City clerk to write Archie D~is Inc., letter of approval to lay said telephone
lines and man holes in City of Ocoee. Mail to Ocala, Box 1386.

Comm. Reese brought blue prints and discussed changes in roof, doors, etc., for
the Little League Building. He also, placed a bid for said building in the amount
of $5,795.00.

Comm. Miller motioned to approve bid from Comm. Reese and the city pay up to
$4,000.00 as approved by the council. Comm. Vandergrift seconded. No No's.

Bids from Hill York and Nick Vick for air conditioning and heating of City Hall
was read and discussed. Bids were as follows:

Comm. Reese motioned to accept the lowest bid of $1,798.00 from Ned Vick.
Comm. Vandergrift seconded. No No's. Motion carried.
Comm. Reese motioned to allow Hazel Griffith to open Realty Office on S. Bluford St.
in her residence. Comm. Stinnett seconded. No No's. Motion carried.
lIl&yor Minor called Special Meeting for March 11, 1969 at 7:00 P. 1#. to review
New City Charter and annex certain properties into the city.
Mayor Minor entertained a motion to use steel doors and close three windows
with block at the Youth Center, and to notify the Jaycees that should vandalism
continue, the Youth Center would be closed.
Comm. Reese motioned the council accept the Mayors entertained motion and block up
the three windows and install the steel doors, at the Youth Center. Comm. Vandergrift
seconded the motion. Mayor Minor voted YES. Motion carried.
Comm. Reese agreed to have this work an Youth C~nter taken care of.
Comm. Miller motioned the city purchase 6 trash cans for city streets, at a cost of
$45.00 each including bolts to anchor cans to street. Motion died for lack of second.
Comm. Vandergrift read a letter from Dixie Barber in reference to adopting the single
permanent registeration system, also resolution for adopting said system, which must
be returned to Orange County Supervisor of Elections, not later that July 1, 1969.
Comm. Vandergrift motioned the city adopt the above Resolution for using permanent
registration system. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Comm. Miller voted NO.
Corom. Reese, Stinnett and Vandergrift voted yes. Motion carried.
There being no further business, Cornm. Reese motioned the meeting of City Council
adjourn. Comm. Stinnett seconded motion. Thereupon meeting of the city council
adjourned at 10:50 P. M.
