Vandergrift, Miller, Reese, Stinnett and ~!ayor Ninor ABSENT: None Meeting called to order by Mayor Ydnor at 7:09 P. ~. Corrm. Stinnett motioned to dispense with reading of the minutes. Corom. Miller seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried. Cowm. Miller motioned all bills in order be paid. Comm. Vandergrift seconded the motion, No Rb's. ~otion carried. B.) 8,000.00 Carmon Hamby brought a petition from residents on Palm Drive and Pine Street, asking that somij_'_abti~nDe taken to pave said streets. Con~~ Vandererift motioned that bids ~e accepted for paving these~streets (Palm and Pine). Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried. Chief of Police, Leroy Turner, asked the council to install teletype in the Police Station. He stated cost of installation would be $19.00 and rental $40.00 per month. Mayor Vinor reco~mended that Chief Turner check into the teletype and see if you could send as well as receive, and if this was the case he was in favor of same. Comm. Vandergrift motioned that the city set up the teletype if it was both sending and receiving and the $40.00 per month was the total cost to the city. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried. Co~~. Vandergrift motioned the Co~issioners in charge of the Fire Dept. Police Dept. and City Hall, start a feasibility study for a new city building to encompass the three departments. Corrm. Reese seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried. I Corom. l~iller ask for permission to buy lawn mower for Cemetery. Council agreed. Comm. Vandergrift motioned a day off, be set aside for each employee in 1ew of Monday's (March 31st) closing of City Hall as a Day of Mourning for David D. Eisenhower. Corom. Reese seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried. I I I on full ~ime in the water department, Cornm. Stinnett seconded. No No's. ~97V~ for Plumbing and Electrical Codes. Comm. Motion carried. Comm. Reese motioned that Grady Smith be put except for mechanical works on city trucks. Hotion carried. Corrm. Miller motion we accept Ordinances Stinnett seconded the motion. No No's. There being no ;further business Comm. Miller motioned meeting adjourn. Corrm. Reese seconded the motion. Thereupon meeting ~~ the City Council adjourned at 9:16 P. M.
