Hamlin made resolution to wit: . Be it hereby resolved that Jewell Stoutenburgh, City Clerk and John T. Minor, Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and transmit any and all documents, forms and papers relative to the city!s dealing \nth Seaboard Coast Line R.R. and State Road Dept. Comm. Stinnett motioned to accept resolution. Comm. Vandergrift seconded. Carried Mr. Melton, with Valley Decorating Company spoke to the Council relative I to Christmas decorating for city streets at a special discount for April order. Comm. Vandergrift motioned ,the city purchase 30 Chr~mas Street decorations. Comm. Stinnett seconded. Carried. ' ~qq 1f-~ Comm. Stinnett motioned the city adopt the Ordinance for Electrical code. Comm. Reese seconded. Carried. / Comm. Stinnett motioned city rent property from Edwin Pounds for Police Dept. and dispatchers. Comm. Reese seconded the motion. Carried. Comm. Stinnett motioned, in the event Mr. Tyson decided to lease land from. the city for sewage 'treatment plant, the City Atty. be authorized to make the necessary lease for $1.00 per year providing the city can buy same at a later date. Comm. Miller seconded. Carried. Comm. ~liller motioned Russell M~ynall be raised to $1.50 per hour. Comm. Stinnett seconded. ~, Comm. Miller bought lawn mower for cemetery. ~~l.~ Comm. Reese motioned the old lawn mower be sold for $20.00. Comm Stinnett seconded. Carried. City Council agreed to remodel room in rear of City Hall for Building Inspectors Office. I I I I Council authorized Comm. Vandergrirt to work up recreation program for summer, co-operating with the school program, ror the residents or the city. Comm. Vandergrirt praised the effort of the Police & Fire Department in the search for Camillia Jo Hand. There being no further business Comm. Miller motioned meeting adjourn. Comm. Vandergrift seconded.
