MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CI TY
COUNCIL, CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD:
JULY 1, 1969
PRESENT:
Comm. Miller, Reese, Vandergrift, Stinnett and Mayor Minor
ABSENT:
None.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Minor at 7:00 P. M.
Comm. Miller motioned to dispense with reading of the minutes. Comm.
Stinnett seconded the motion. No No's. Motion carried.
Comm. Stinnett motioned all bills in order be paid. Comm. Miller
seconded t~e motion. No No's. Motion carried.

Comm. Reese stated the Aqua Weed Company should be contacted to come out
and add more copper J sulfate. Also, that Mr. Sherfield with the Water..... ,,"..1
Polution Dept. be notified to come out and test the lake.
Butch Sargeant and Chriss Sission, representatives from Ocoee Jaycees, I
presented the city with a trophy for their aid in sponsoring the Ocoee
Sports Association. Mayor Minor expressed his thanks in behalf of the
City of Ocoee.
Comm. Reese motioned the city hall be used for city business only, unless
permission was granted by the council. Comm. Miller seconded. No No's.
Motion carried. .
Comm. Miller motioned Comm. Stinnett and Mayor Minor take proper steps
to get the short wave radio reverted back 'in the cities name. No No's.
Motion carried.
Mr. Garlington was present to complain about' a permit he obtained from
the city to install chain link fence. He stated the inspector told him
,he could fence in the easement by tying to his neighbor's fence in rear
of his house. Also, that no gates were necessary for the meter men.
Attorney HAmlin stated the city would defray expense of moving fence,
,due to city building inspector's error in issuing permit.
,Comm. Reese motioned that above fence be set back at the city's expense.
Comm. Miller seconded. Comm. Vandergrift 'ammended the motion that a I
formal apology by the city be made to Mr. Garlington. Ammended motion
accepted by Comm. Reese and Comm. Miller. No No's. Motion carried.
There being no further business. Comm. Miller motioned to adjourn.
Comm. Reese seconded. Thereupon, meeting ~f the city council ~~~
adjourned at 8:35 P. M.
